This is ridiculous! Our democracy is under attack and Republicans could do something about it, but they're not. The question is WHY not? I'll tell you why!

My theory is that the Repugs emails were hacked as well, and the Russians are holding blackmail material over all of them, making them let tRump do whatever he wants in order to destroy this country from within. Not even counting the Repugs that are part of the whole treasonous plot to steal elections!

Deplorables, all of them!

Trump calls on Sessions to end Mueller investigation 'right now'

Quote:
President Donald Trump on Wednesday called on Attorney General Jeff Sessions to end special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation, one of the most direct demands he has made of the Justice Department to stop the probe since it began.

"Attorney General Jeff Sessions should stop this Rigged Witch Hunt right now, before it continues to stain our country any further. Bob Mueller is totally conflicted, and his 17 Angry Democrats that are doing his dirty work are a disgrace to USA!" the president said in a morning tweet.

Sessions recused himself from overseeing the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election over conflict of interest concerns, because he had served as a surrogate for Trump's campaign.

Winner of the week's Double Douchebag award. Congratulations to Kris Kobach!
Quote:
But in addition to his growing name recognition, Kobach’s bank account also benefited from his immigration work. Records obtained by ProPublica and the Kansas City Star show that since 2005 Kobach has made at least $800,000 through this advocacy. At least $150,000 of that was paid during Kobach’s time as secretary of state. (Kansas law permits government officials to moonlight.)

Those dollar amounts are almost certainly an undercount. Valley Park, Farmers Branch, Fremont and Hazleton provided financial documentation, but Maricopa County did not. Given the minimum fees stipulated in his contract with Maricopa County, Kobach made at least $12,600. It’s likely that he was paid far more. (Both Hazleton and Valley Park said the cost of the trial was defrayed by donations.)

Not that this whole goddamn party is corrupt. Or anything.

@jcboy,
I've just visited the site nerve center (huge place, wires and sparks and glowing orbs and crap like that) and after they inserted the electrodes (don't ask) I've realized that my protest at the NSFW was...um... misdirected.

@jcboy,
Kind of charming isn’t it. Reminds me of the fine citizens of Baltimore picketing around Southern High School when they were forced to integrate. It was lovely, and a lot of people looking just like the lovely gal in the red-plaid house dress, pushing strollers with small kids and while screaming racial slurs and hurling bricks. Those were some of the great days of democracy, it would be a shame to see all that hate disappear.

My mother’s youngest sister was a student at the high school school the day the riots broke out she remembers it vividly. Students were herded away from the windows into the center hallways. Huddled together sitting on the floor not knowing what was going to happen.....the children had to be escorted home by the police. Yes, yes, yes the wonderful world of democracy.

You'll love this new stage in the evolution of Witch Hunt theory
Quote:
Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani said Wednesday that he believed it would be legal for President Donald Trump to obstruct the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election and related matters.
TPM

Next phase... Obstruction of justice is the very height of patriotism.

@MattNegrin
Last night @seanhannity said the media covering the Manafort trial is "on full high alert, DEFCOM level 10."

- It’s DEFCON, not DEFCOM
- The DEFCON scale is from 1 to 5
- DEFCON 5 is the least severe; DEFCON 1 is most severe ("DEFCON 10" would be impossibly insignificant)

Russian Collusion with the Trump Campaign, one of the most successful in history, is a TOTAL HOAX. The Democrats paid for the phony and discredited Dossier which was, along with Comey, McCabe, Strzok and his lover, the lovely Lisa Page, used to begin the Witch Hunt. Disgraceful!

Do you get the notion that somebody has convinced Trump that he's got a BIG problem with women voters. Note as well that his earlier common behavior of slagging women in the worst sorts of ways has been tamped way down.

Didn't effect the outcome of the election.

@coldjoint,
I genuinely think that the majority of the people are sick to death of all this Russia propaganda BS.

He is what he is (including POTUS) and won the election.

Get the **** over it already, and if you're deadset keen on seeing him replaced come the next election cycle, get a ******* plan in place.

If HRC is part of that plan, then prepare for a second term of the sitting president.

She's about as viable as a box of chook eggs left in the sun for forty years.
