Italy plans MANDATORY crucifixes in public buildings - with a £890 fine for non-compliance

Some countries are serious about saving their religion and their culture. Trump likes it.
Every public building in Bavaria is required by law to display a Christian cross at the entrance to greet visitors.

"Allgemeine Geschäftsordnung für die Behörden des Freistaates Bayern" (General Rules of Procedure for the authorities of the Free State of Bavaria)
Quote:
§ 28
Anbringen von Kreuzen in Dienstgebäuden
Im Eingangsbereich eines jeden Dienstgebäudes ist als Ausdruck der geschichtlichen und kulturellen Prägung Bayerns gut sichtbar ein Kreuz anzubringen.
Attachment of crosses in service buildings
A cross must be placed in the entrance area of every office building as an expression of Bavaria's historical and cultural imprint.

Since Trump's grandparents were Bavarian nationals, he should value this particularly highly.

I want to add that the main Christian churches in Bavaria, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria and the Roman Catholic Church (Cardinal Marx, the archbishop of Munich is the chairman of the German Bishops' Conference), opposed this law.

I am quite sure Italy took that under consideration before making its decision. Laughing

Not really: the bill was introduced by the Lega Nord party, headed by Matteo Salvini, the interior minister and deputy prime minister alongside the leader of the Five Star Movement, Luigi di Maio. And both referred to the Bavarian law.

This dipshit seems to be getting increasingly worried about his future (and likely about his family's future as well).

..This is a terrible situation and Attorney General Jeff Sessions should stop this Rigged Witch Hunt right now, before it continues to stain our country any further. Bob Mueller is totally conflicted, and his 17 Angry Democrats that are doing his dirty work are a disgrace to USA!

Family. It meant a lot to the characters in The Godfather. And it meant a lot to Charles Manson. Now, Trump.

@blatham,
Quote:
Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Wednesday that Trump’s broadsides are simply the president “fighting back.”

She also offered an explanation of the president’s tweet in which he called for Attorney General Jeff Sessions “should stop this Rigged Witch Hunt right now.”

Sanders said “It’s not an order. It’s the president’s opinion.”

Rosenstein is the person with the authority to fire Special Counsel Mueller since Sessions recused himself from the investigation.

Guess Trump figures that since Sessions recused himself, he can un-recuse himself at any time.

Which might put Sessions into trouble, but in Trump's mind this is "everybody get ready to sacrifice for me" time.

Yeah, I saw that quote. Of course, Putin poisoning/killing dissidents is himself merely fighting back. A school kid shooting his teacher because of a bad grade is just fighting back.

The press needs to cease attending these briefings. Or, as Jay Rosen suggests, just send some low level interns. This WH is a lie factory.

New incriminating evidence against Manafort! Pictures!

Of clothes. Get it?

The judge didn't either:

Quote:
The Mueller team was rebuffed again by Ellis when they tried to introduce photos of Manafort’s closets filled with suits and high-end clothing. Ellis would not allow the photos.

“Enough is enough. We don’t convict people because they have a lot of money and throw it around,” he said. The judge said the photos would seem “unnecessary, irrelevant” and potentially “prejudicial.” Further, he reminded the lawyers that Manafort “is not on trial for having a lavish lifestyle, but for not reporting income on his taxes.

Beauregard doesn't care. He's busy with his religious liberty activities.

He doesn't seem to have thought it all the way through. He might as well just call it white Christian liberty. Everyone knows it's not about anything else. (wait til the Catholic bishop finds out Southern Baptists don't consider Catholics to be Christian).

@layman,
I can see their first witness now, eh? Some cop sayin

"Well, ya see, a bunch of us, all heavily armed, kicked in the door to his crib at 4:30 A.M. We held him and his wife at gunpoint, and searched his closet for evidence.

And, boy, did we ever find it! There were clothes in there! I got some pics, wanna see em?"

It did to Killary too, when her brother made a shitload of money exploiting the people of Haiti. Or when her daughter got a six figure salary from NBC.

Smooth move. Do these reporters really think stuff like this hurts Trump's support? Keep up the good work implying Americans are idiots and enjoy Trump until early 2025.

Believe it or not, there actually are things in the world which are worse than communism or communists. Communists, or at least most of them, are ideologues and not just total berserkers driven by mindless hatred.

Malthusians and Greentards are worse than that. No communist ever blew up or otherwise destroyed a hydroelectric dam for the sake of a delta smelt or some kind of toad or frog. Doing that sort of thing basically amounts to simple hatred of one's fellow man.
