@gungasnake,
You must live in an alternate dimension--on this planet, everyone knows Plump is completely out of touch with real life.

Donald Trump appears to be a glaring exception to that rule.
So actually you have to show an ID-card when buying a gallon of milk for a price known by Trump.
That truly convinces me.

@Lash,
Sounds awful, can't be very fresh by the end of the week. How is the reporter to know they've looked the price up prior to the interview?

“If you go out and you want to buy groceries, you need a picture on a card, you need ID,” he said at the event at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa. “You go out and you want to buy anything, you need ID and you need your picture.”

A White House spokesman did not immediately respond to questions about when the billionaire president last bought groceries or anything else himself.

That Trump doesn't personally know anything about shopping isn't surprising. Not true for all wealthy people (my ex and I were in a men's clothing store in NYC shopping alongside Sean Connery) but Trump is not going to be mingling with the lower classes.

And it's not surprising that Trump would lie about this. He lies about anything and everything. It's what con men and sociopaths do. Liars lie precisely so that those who hear/read the lie will misapprehend reality. He is proud of this, which is why he has bragged about forwarding the "fake news" idea.

What is nearly incomprehensible though is that Trump's fans attending that rally, faced with their leader/hero telling them such a blatantly obvious falsehood, did not all just walk out on the bum. That is almost as pathological as Trump himself.

Poll: Who wins in a Biden-Trump 2020 election?(The Hill)

Quote:
Former Vice President Joe Biden tops President Trump by 7 points in hypothetical 2020 matchup, according to a new Politico/Morning Consult poll.

Forty-four percent of registered voters told pollsters they would support Biden in the next presidential election, compared to 37 percent of voters who said they would vote to reelect Trump.

The poll also found that a generic candidate would do better against Trump than Biden among registered Democrats: 89 percent said they would vote for a generic candidate from their own party, compared to 80 percent who said they would vote for Biden.

Seventy-eight percent of Republicans said they would vote Trump back into office.

Ouch. Mets lose to Washington Nationals 25 - 4. That would not have been pleasant.

Stupid satire. Hispanics have been in Caslifornia for 300 years. Many ofr them have generationds deepoer rokots in this country than layman can possibly have. Thdere is zNO proof that there was any voting by illegals in Californka or elsewhere.. States and cities can run local elections however they wish, and all layman can do is bitch and rant wikth zero evidenc e, which he does at such great length.

@layman,
The problem with Ami Horowitz is that voter ID laws have been DOCUMENTED to have and adverse discriminatory effect on minority, poor, rural and elderly voters, aand students (those are separate categories discriminated against, someone does not have to be all of them).

One of President Donald Trump's top cabinet officials told a gathering of cybersecurity leaders Tuesday that the Russians attacked the 2016 presidential election and that "America will not tolerate this meddling."

"Two years ago, a foreign power launched a brazen, multi-faceted influence campaign ... to distort our presidential election," said Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen during an opening roundtable at the DHS National Cybersecurity Summit in New York. "Let me be clear: Our intelligence community had it right. It was the Russians."

"We know that, they know that. It was directed from the highest levels. And we cannot and will not allow it to happen again."

I've been watching the Senate hearings (going on now) discussing foreign influences on social media. As one of the experts has just said, the same sorts of activities taking place during the last election are ongoing now. A key aspect of the activity that was announced by Facebook the other day is a broad attempt to create divisions on the left.

Don't get suckered.

PS... these hearings are VERY good. I hope others will watch them when time is available.
