Obama administration approved $200G grant to group with Al Qaeda ties

The Obama administration approved a $200,000 grant to a group in Sudan with ties to Al Qaeda even though it had been designated a terrorist-financing organization by the U.S. years earlier, a conservative think tank revealed this week.

Further, an agency official acknowledged the prior administration allowed taxpayer money to flow to the group even after its designation was discovered.

The 2014 grant to the Islamic Relief Agency, through the U.S. Agency for International Development, was revealed by Sam Westrop of the Middle East Forum in a story for the National Review.

“More stunningly, government officials specifically authorized the release of at least $115,000 of this grant even after learning that it was a designated terror organization,” Westrop wrote in the article.

“Obama-administration officials knowingly approved the transfer of taxpayer dollars to an al-Qaeda affiliate, and not an obscure one but an enormous international network that was often in the headlines,” Westrop wrote.

An official with the U.S. Agency for International Development, or USAID, backed up the National Review account in an email to Fox News, providing a timeline of events.

It does not matter if Obama is a Muslim or not. He elevated terror to a whole new level by doing nothing about it but lip service and as it turns out lies saying things were better when they were getting worse. I will always see Obama as a traitor, again, his religion does not matter.

US election: Donald Trump's five lines of attack on Clinton

Donald Trump promised a bare-knuckles speech with sweeping attacks on Hillary Clinton, and on Wednesday he delivered it.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-36592975

As if Trump wouldn't have a single negative thing about Clinton unless some russian told him one at some later date, eh?

How naive can these cheese-eaters get, I ax ya?

I mean, you can go to google and instantly see dozens of fake news outlets pimping this same lame talking point, eh? Trump said he was gunna attack Clinton so that means he knew about the Trump Tower meeting in advance.

A sample:

Quote:
Why Does Trump Keep Lying About His Dealings With Russia

Michael Cohen can testify to Robert Mueller that Donald Trump was aware of the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting during which Russian officials promised dirt on Hillary Clinton, reports CNN.

Cohen’s apparent testimony merely fleshes the skeleton of a story we already knew.

Tapper: Do you think that — Donald Trump says that — President Trump says he knew nothing about the meeting. Do you think that that’s true?

Nunberg: No.— and, Jake, I have watched your news reports. You know it’s not true. He talked about it a week before.

Indeed, the night the meeting was set up (but before it took place), Trump excitedly told a crowd, “I am going to give a major speech on probably Monday of next week and we’re going to be discussing all of the things that have taken place with the Clintons. I think you’re going to find it very informative and very, very interesting.”

Trump has lied about his dealings with Russia so many times that his word has grown completely worthless...

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2018/07/trump-knew-about-trump-tower-russian-meeting-keeps-lying.html

This article goes to the extreme of publishing a flat-out lie, i.e., "After the meeting failed to produce the hoped-for dirt, the promised speech did not take place."

The BBC article I just posted shows that this is false.

Really pathetic, eh?

@layman,
This new yorker rag does deserve some credit for a proper depiction of the Obamas, so they're batting .500, which is better than .000, but fake news all the same.

“It seems to me the worst that you could say, assuming that Cohen is telling the truth now, is that Donald Trump lied back in 2017. But so what? It’s not admirable, you would hope he wouldn’t, but it is not breaking the law: lying to the media. He certainly wouldn’t be the first president, if he did, who had done so. And even the meeting itself – while it certainly doesn’t seem praise-worthy that American political candidates or their team would be meeting with a Russian lawyer to try to get dirt on Hillary Clinton that was being offered to them – that falls a long way from any hint of collusion between Trump and the Kremlin.”

Chris Wallace tonight. What is the big deal even if it is true? Answer please.

President Donald Trump's former lawyer has said his client knew in advance of a June 2016 meeting between his aides and a Russian delegation that offered to help his campaign, US media report.

Michael Cohen says he was present when Mr Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr, informed his father of the meeting.

He is reportedly willing to state this to the special counsel investigation into alleged Russian election meddling.

On Friday, Mr Trump again denied that he knew about the meeting.

The meeting at Trump Tower in New York City involved Mr Trump's son, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, then-campaign chairman Paul Manafort and an influential Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya.

It was set up after a Russian intermediary contacted Mr Trump Jr with a promise to provide material that would "incriminate" Hillary Clinton - the Democratic candidate in the 2016 presidential election.

The president lashed out at the accusations on Friday, tweeting: "Sounds to me like someone is trying to make up stories in order to get himself out of an unrelated jam".

You might want to look at the rapidly growing federal budget deficit. I seem to remember "lowering the deficit" was another campaign promise.

Quote:
From January to June this year, according to data from the Treasury Department, corporate tax payments fell by a third from the same period a year ago. The drop nearly reached a 75-year low as a share of the economy, according to federal data.

“If we hadn’t changed our tax system,” said Kimberly A. Clausing, an economics professor at Reed College in Portland, Ore., who studies business taxation, “you would be expecting rising revenues.”

Just sayin'.

CNN programming has been shown to cause actual IQ reduction in laboratory animals.

Neither Donald Trump nor anybody else requires Russian help to find dirt on the Hildabeast, simple Internet searches will suffice.

True. Anyone can find "dirt" about public figures on the internet. Hell, you can find pages and pages about Donald Trump too — Trump University? The Trump Foundation? Refusing to pay workers and contractors? Antitrust violations? Breaking casino rules? Undocumented Polish workers? Long list of sexual assault and misconduct accusations?

I'd suggest that when critiquing politicians you eschew "dirt" and pay more attention to their policies and the effects of their actions.

What a damn lie, eh!? If there was even a shred of truth to this, mobs would have been in the street trying to occupy ICE years ago. Obama would have been impeached, and ****:

Cheese-eatin NBC wrote:
Immigration enforcement has always separated people from their families.

Families Belong Together” has become the battle cry of those denouncing the Trump administration’s policy of forcibly separating children from their parents at the border. But the truth is that, in my 10 years of experience defending people from deportation, the tactic of separating families is nothing new. Our immigration system has been tearing families apart, over minimal objections, for decades.

So, you think you're a citizen, Pedro? Think again.

Quote:
Stripping Naturalized Immigrants of Their Citizenship Isn’t New

The government’s latest denaturalization efforts jeopardize “the naturalization of the more than twenty million naturalized citizens in the American population by taking away their assumption of permanence.”

Under Operation Janus, USCIS intends to bring denaturalization proceedings against an additional 1,600 individuals.

This effort has in turn spawned Operation Second Look, another DHS program to follow leads obtained from Operation Janus. According to Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s proposed fiscal year 2019 budget, the agency seeks to hire staff to review “alien files” for naturalization fraud under Operation Second Look."

The reactions to these cases—as well as to USCIS director L. Francis Cissna’s recent statements to the Associated Press about hiring dozens of lawyers and immigration officers to review cases of naturalization fraud—have been a mix of shock, disbelief and fear.

Programs like Operation Janus and Operation Second Look not only create a culture of fear, they encourage the idea that naturalized citizenship is less than birthright citizenship.

Well, now, aint that a shame, eh?
