I was not even aware that there was any kind of a threshold which would take a post out of visibility altogether.

I think 5 down votes collapse the post. People are under the impression that if they ignore a problem it will go away. When they are reminded it just does not work that way it seems to upset them.

@coldjoint,
It was only a matter of time and it won't stop with this.

I wager that with all the extreme animal rights activists, pedophilia will go "mainstream" long before bestiality.

I'm pretty sure that very few (if any) of our progressive members are OK with this attempt to normalize a sexual perversion that harms children, and that none, who may be, will admit to it.

It seems like a much bigger leap to make than supporting same-sex marriage, but keep in mind that that taboo was very powerful for a very long time; so much so that Democrat politicians like Obama and Clinton had to experience an evolution of thinking in order to remain in step with their base.

The route it will take is to first, fully "recognize" the sexuality of minors. We're half-way there with the recognition of homosexuality and trans-genderism in minors. The next step will be to argue that statutory age limitations are arbitrary and infringe upon the rights of sexually aware minors. From there it's just a matter of lowering social restraints on supposedly consensual sex between an "adult attracted minor" and a "minor-attracted adult"

It may prove to be a bridge too far for moral relativists to cross, but the effort will be made.

This idea was flouted at the hight of the sexual liberation in the 70's, and abandonned since. It's not coming back anytime soon.

Media’s Obsession With ‘Collusion’ Continues To Destroy Its Credibility

That is exactly what it does to the people posting the MSM crap here. It's a small world.
Quote:
One of the things we learned from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is that we still have no evidence of “collusion” between Donald Trump’s campaign and Russia. Special counsel Robert Mueller has brought in almost 200 indictments — and that’s great — but not one of them has shown a Russian-Trump conspiracy. Like you, I have no clue what future prosecutions will look like, but on this day Rosenstein explicitly noted that nothing in the Justice Department’s indictment featured an allegation that any American citizen had committed a crime.

This is so beyond sick I have no words!

It would seem to be the first step in tolerating the sodomizing of our children!

It’s not pedophilia anymore, it’s being a ‘minor-attracted person’.

People can classify themselves as heterosexual, homosexual, asexual, metrosexual. There are endless sexual orientations under the sun, and now, pedophilia can be added to the list.

In the fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM V), the American Psychological Association (APA) drew a very distinct line between pedophilia and pedophilic disorder. Pedophilia refers to a sexual orientation or profession of sexual preference devoid of consummation, whereas pedophilic disorder is defined as a compulsion and is used in reference to individuals who act on their sexuality.

APA’s decision has given rise to numerous pedophilia-advocacy groups, the chief of them being B4U-ACT, a non-profit grassroots organization based in Maryland. Created in 2003 primarily as a means for “minor-attracted persons” to be open about their sexual preferences in a supportive atmosphere, B4U-ACT is now widening the scope of their organization.
According to spokesperson and registered sex offender Paul Christiano, the pedophilia-advocacy group is “working towards de-stigmatizing the mental health community.” Christiano explained that negative societal attitudes towards minor-attracted persons “trickle down to policy-making and the mental health community.”

“Policy-making” is used chiefly in reference to the sex-offender registry. Christiano is not alone in advocating change within the system. Caitlin Myers, a doctorate student in Sociology here at the University of Southern California, says the registry needs to be “more senstitive to the nature of crime.” Myers explained that the chief problem within the sex-offender registry itself is the “one size fits all” viewpoint it bears towards sexual offenses. “There could be a man who committed 20 consecutive rapes and a 19-year-old boy who had sex with his 17-year-old girlfriend and they would be punished in the same manner.”

Change to the system is understandable, yet B4U-ACT’s grounds for such change remains murky. When questioned about the most responsible way in which a pedophile could manage his sexual preferences, Christiano answered that while B4U-ACT encouraged minor-attracted persons within the organization to openly acknowledge their feelings and desires, such sexual preferences must remain purely a mental exercise and therefore entirely unconsummated. In other words, pedophiles must be allowed to fantasize about minors, as long as such acts are never consummated.

Does that look like it is abandoned or going away?

Actually, at first was it was a mutual defence treaty against the Soviets ("Treaty of Brussels", signed by Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, and the United Kingdom; March 1948). This later (September 1948) became the Western Union Defence Organisation.
With the North Atlantic Treaty (April 1949) the USA joined the club.

Did you ever notice these "relativists" never experience what they advocate? An example would be leaders in Europe pushing multiculture. They do not experience like the masses of ignoble strife they must control. Their families are not terrorized by migrants youths. In the same light these supporters of a pedophiles rights would never allow their children to be victimized. But other children do not matter as much.

@Walter Hinteler,
Im more astounded at Trump's serial lying. Some of his statements this week include

"Ive been against separating children from their families". Yet he has no explanation about why he even did it.

Today he tweeted that all the Russian interference with the election falls back on Obama. isnt Trump the one who stated on TV that"Mr Putin, if you have any communications from Hillary Clinton, please let us know"

Reached today, after conducting a quick review of Mueller's indictment, former NSA Technical Director William Binney declared the document to be "a fabrication." "The only actual forensic investigations performed on available data regarding "hacks" of the DNC are independent investigations assessed and approved by a group of us at the Veterans Intelligence Professionals for Sanity," Binney noted. (See, Intel Vets Challenge 'Russia Hack' Evidence, and A New Report Raises Big Questions About Last Year’s DNC Hack.) The FBI never even bothered to examine the DNC computers, relying instead on the DNC and Atlantic Council cyber contractor Crowd Strike for its evidence. Our analysis demonstrated that the Guccifer II and DC Leaks personas were created inside the United States. Our analysis also fully demonstrated that the transfer of the information was consistent with a download to a thumb drive, not transmission over the internet. Separate and apart from the VIPS analysis, Ray McGovern and I have consistently said that available data surrounding charges regarding ‘Russian hacking' suggest that the CIA's Vault 7 Cyber weapons arsenal enabling false attribution and ‘tell-tale' signs in Cyrillic and other ‘obfuscation' may be at work in a least some of this. Former Director of National Intelligence and former CIA Director John Brennan's benighted views on Russia seem also to be in play over the past several years. Suffice it to add that, despite our assessment of John Brennan's cyberoperations and false attribution programs at the CIA , Brennan's geopolitical fixation on Russiagate, and despite our work with independent forensic analysts (or perhaps because of it), we have never been contacted by Robert Mueller or any Congressional investigative committee."

where is the treaty that turned territorial rights to Crimea over to Ukraine?
As far as I know, territorially changes within the USSR weren't done by a treaty but decrees changed the borders (territories) of the 16 autonomous republics, 5 autonomous oblasts, 10 autonomous okrugs, 6 krais, and 40 oblasts not so seldom.
