@blatham,

On a related note, the Quinnipiac data pointed to a stunning gender gap: men voters prefer to support a Republican congressional candidate by an eight-point margin, while women voters prefer a Democratic candidate by a 25-point margin. No, that's not a typo.

That fits in very well with the overall margin of victory vs 2016 for all the special elections in 2017 & 2018, (up to March). Democrats are running 14.4 points better since Trump took office than in 2016.

Democrats ran better-usually much better-in twenty special elections than they did in the same districts in 2016. Republicans ran better in six.

LET’S ROCK: Devin Nunes Closes In on Corrupt Obama Officials

Quote:
Winer and Nuland also handled information that has since become relevant to the FBI probe. Winer, a former Senate staffer for Kerry, met with Steele, a former MI6 agent, during Summer 2016 and provided State Department officials with a two-page summary of the dossier. Winer also spoke with at least two reporters about Steele for articles published prior to the election.

Nuland was the State Department official who approved an FBI legal attaché to meet with Steele in July 2016. She testified to the Senate Intelligence Committee on June 20 that she first reviewed the dossier in mid-July 2016.

Nunes is also seeking testimony from Jonathan Finer, the chief of staff to former Sec. of State John Kerry, Kathleen Kavelec, a deputy to Nuland, Lewis Lukens, the current deputy chief of mission at London embassy, Thomas Williams, the deputy chief of mission after Dibble, and Jake Sullivan, a top foreign policy adviser to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

It will come out. Obama may have to move to Branson's yacht.

Judge tosses suit alleging Trump campaign conspired with Russians

U.S. District Court Judge Ellen Huvelle said in a ruling that the allegations of conspiracy were insubstantial to proceed in a court, Politico reported.

"The Trump Campaign’s efforts to elect President Trump in D.C...did not involve acts taken in furtherance of the conspiracies to disseminate emails that harmed plaintiffs," wrote the Clinton-appointed judge. "Campaign meetings, canvassing voters, and other regular business activities of a political campaign do not constitute activities related to the conspiracies alleged in the complaint.”

Nice try, cheese-eaters.

@hightor,
Kinda strange that your posting of a mere headline gets a whopping 7 "great post, homey" votes, Hi, while my posting some actual excerpts from the article itself gets a negative 4.

What's up with that, ya figure? It kinda looks like people just want a titillating headline, which they can interpret any way they want, and abhor actual details, eh?

DNC Chairman Tom Perez gave Ocasio-Cortez high praise on Tuesday on "The Bill Press Show," dubbing her "the future of our party."

So that's what the DNC chair thinks, eh? Is that going to lose or gain party members?

Quote:
Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz said Tuesday he won’t let radicals like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders steal the spirit of the Democratic Party.

“I won’t let the Democrats steal my party from me. I want to regain the center,” Dershowitz told WABC Radio’s “Curtis and Cosby” show, noting that he will remain a Democrat as “as long as there’s some chance the Democratic Party can return to normalcy.”

“I want to make sure that the radical Left, the woman who got elected in the Bronx and Queens to Congress on the Democratic ticket, that they and Sanders and others don’t represent the Democratic Party,” he continued.

“I want a fight within the Democratic Party to restore it to the days when it was a great centrist party, when it united people rather than divided people,” he added.
