how he got involved with this investigation.

The FBI did not bother to interview for months after the investigation started.

Get your facts straight, the FBI can't.

You keep confusing the fact that the investigation started when the FBI heard about what Papandopoulos was up to with some notion that the FBI investigation started when they interviewed Papandopoulos.

The FBI decided to investigate the claims given to us by our ally Australia in late July that months previous, Papadopoulos was bragging in a London bar to an Australian diplomat about how the Trump campaign was going to use Emails stolen by Russia. The FBI investigated, which took months, and finally brought a case against Papandopoulos in January where he turned evidence and gave lots of info about the contacts between Trump and Russians.

Sounds like good work to me.

Oh, and thanks for the link which describes Papandopoulos' Russian connections. It doesn't help Trump's case, it only hurts it, so why you included it at all I don't know. But thanks anyway.

@oralloy,
Quote Blickers:

The investigation started because Trump foreign policy advisor George Papdapoulos got drunk in a London bar and bragged to an Australian diplomat there that the Trump campaign was getting info from Russia that they were using. The Australian diplomat notified the FBI, and that started the investigation.

Quote oralloy:

This does not change the fact that the reason why the Democrats are pushing this investigation is because Trump does not agree with them.
So we see that your idea of a fair investigation is one that is conducted by a friend of the President who will bury whatever he finds.

You do realize Papadopolous had no contact with Trump?
Papadopoulos arranged all kinds of contacts for Trump involving the Russians, so I don't know that at all. Neither do you.

Also he [Papadopoulos] was fed what information he had by a covert agent working for the FBI. You got 0. At best it is entrapment, which forced a guilty plea.
What FBI informant? Please state his name.

What are you talking about? Off the charts? His poll numbers have hardly changed since he had a bump in the polls a few weeks ago.

At realclearpolitics his approval rating average out to 42.1% and his disapproval ratings average out to 53.6% from 5/21-6/6.

This has been notably discussed in the news for the past few days.

@Lash,
Trump has been okay jobs wise, but no better. Since Bill Clinton got elected in 1992, jobs have gone up steadily except for Bush 43, who started off bad, picked up in the middle and collapsed entirely his last year. Clinton and Obama did fine, though.

Ties That Bind – Stefan Halper, Joseph Mifsud & Alexander Downer (& Papadopoulos)

These guys set up a young naive Papadopolous. It is that simple. The information was generated for that purpose and then distributed through intelligence orgs making it appear that the Russians had something to do with it. They did not. The informants bought Russia into this. A set up all the way.

What's so bullshit about it? After it came out that he told Papandopoulos about the Russian theft of the Emails, Mifsud became a hot man. Some people might be mad at him. Other people would want to talk to him, which might prompt other people to take action to prevent him from talking. Or maybe Mifsud decided not to stick around to find out what happens and took off himself. If he did, who could blame him?

The fact that Russia was bought into this by an informant or agent working with British and US intelligence. A set up, everyone can see it except sore losers and those intimidated into silence by the power of the establishment. Not to mention many NDA's people were coerced into signing.

Why don't you stop lying. Repu blicanomics\Bushonomics gutted regulatory bodies and ignored regulations and lessons
learned from 1929 and world economy collapsed.
