What Bannon did was say that you and others like who repeat the same lies will not stop the belief in sovereignty and the right of a nation to choose to survive. These people are not racists, they are Americans. I don't think you would know one if you saw him.

Keep whining the people here love it.

Wally, can you think of any ideology similar to Nazism? I can, it is called Islam. Those are the new Nazis in Europe and I think it is a shame someone as intelligent as you cannot see that. And if you do see that, we will never know, you should be ashamed.
I'm sorry to be si harsh, butr you are more than uneducated, not only about history but especiually about the more recent history in Europe and European politics, now and decades ago.

And here I'm not just referring to what you wrote about Maie LePen's "daughter"!!!

Active, not attractive. But she is. I saw her speak at CPAC. It was the younger one.

That's Marion Maréchal-Le Pen, daughter of Yann Le Pen and Samuel Marécha.
You wrote about "her daughter" - Marie Le Pen has two that's why I asked, I didn't ask about her niece.

You are entitled to your opinion and I really do not care what you think, I find it very hard to respect the opinion of an obviously terrified man. Now that is out of the way, take a look at Europe in the present, not the past.

Close enough Wally, LePens ideas are being carried on. Nice family aren't they?

Well, you certainly can admire Nazis and anti-Semitists like the Le Pens.
I even wouldn't call them "nice" in inverted commas.

@revelette1,
Yes. The only thing that is going to get the gun issue in hand is broad electoral victories by Dems and continuing citizen activism. Republicans will do nothing other than what they are doing now - regardless of how many are murdered.

No one is perfect, and it is her immigration stance that is important. And the Muslims in Europe are harassing, beating, and killing Jews. Where are your police to defend them?

Also progressives side with Palestine, how is that anti-Semitic? Please no Zionist bullshit.

@revelette1,
I'm not a fan of his stance on guns either. But in a lot of right-leaning districts, candidates are going to have to be a mixed bag. And that's fine.

Guns are definitely an important issue for me. But I think there are more immediate concerns as you suggest in your first sentence.

@Walter Hinteler,
(1) Definitely an education problem with this chap.
(2)I suspect he thinks this is a good thing.
(3)I suspect he'll tell us why it's a good thing.
(4)And in doing so, he'll provide a fool-proof proof of sentence 1.

@coldjoint,
You mean Marion Maréchal Le Pen, Marine's niece. She's a potential leader of that party, been for a while now in forced retirement, waiting for her aunt to fell, preparing the dagger... Marine slayed her father too, of course. There's no honor among them fascists. It's a knot of vipers.

Yes, the pretty masks are off and their ugliness in full sight now on both sides of the pound. In Italy they're still moving ahead though. Italy has suffered more than most from the immigration crisis.

I knew in the end Trump would end up just endorsing gun control measures of which the NRA approves after all the big talk. Figures.

We put him in the White House to prevent the Democrats from violating the Second Amendment.

He's doing the job that we sent him to do.

The NRA has given the government permission to pass the Fix-NICS/Reciprocity combination package too, by the way.

We need to tie the legal age for buying guns to the legal voting age.

People are only mature enough to vote when they are mature enough to own a gun.

No hate for conservative Democrats who don't hate the Constitution? That's an interesting step forward for the left.

It would take a filibuster proof Senate. Must then override 5 or so Dem Senators that would back most legislation against the gun lobby. Don't know if there would be enough Repubs who would vote yes. Probably hide behind a no closure vote to not vote in the open. Then, it would be amended to death, with maybe a few poison pills stuck in. I don't think a Dem Senate would bypass as much "normal order" as the Repubs have.

Still, if prayers are really heard, these are the kind that fill the bill!

Funny that Bannon is putting all his chips on Europe now and tRump just pisses on Europe. I really do believe the world is depending on Europe to survive. After Putin'sd rascist, facist laden interview with Kelly what's her name and tRump total rascist, facist stance for 2 years now - well, I guess this could work for two threads (this one is even more important):

They both support the European extreme right, and loath European institutions. It's coherent at least.

That's heavy. Just because we seem to be among the last ones making any sense on the planet doesn't mean we can save it from anything, let alone a total meltdown of the mighty United States. Your army can beat anybody else to pulp, and more. If you turn to the dark side, we're screwed. We'd be playing Luc Skywalker and his two-wings against the death star... This sort of things only ends well in the movies.
