@blatham,
I expect that both statements reflect feelings Trump had in mind at various moments during the last few days before the election. When the outcome appears and the anxiety ends, we all tend to better remember feelings and perception that were consistent with the outcome. This is certainly an imperfection, but a very common one.
It appear's to me that,
"Donald you lying piece of rotted dog carcass." is a somewhat irrational and emotional overstatement.
There's another element to this that may be significant, and that is the stark contrast between Trump's arrangements for the election night bash and those of Queen Hillary. Victory tends to take care of itself in boosting a celebration, however modestly planned -- a wise choice for either candidate in that contest. Defeat makes the overly lavish plans of unrealistic or deluded candidates look very foolish. In Hillary's case the preparations suggest she was indeed in the grip of some unrealistic delusions about the situation, and that the emergemce of the truth unhinged her for some hours. To her credit she got a grip the following day and made a gracious and candid concession.
Which of these candidates made the wiser choices?
