No matter how many tried to shred Obama, he still enjoys a 56% approval rating. Pretty good in my books, considering the republican congress.
It's still a mystery that Trump didn't suffer much from his five year birther lies - and many other lies.
I guess we just have to put up with how Americans vote for a racial bigot, scammer, and liar.
The reason Trump didn't suffer from his ongoing attacks on Obama, our first black president, is because racism and bigotry still rages in the blood of white America. Most everyone, except the most openly unapologetic racists, will deny their racial bigotry and trip all over themselves to express how insulted they are that anyone would think they're racist--but they are indeed racist.
And we don't have to put up with our fellow Americans who willfully blind themselves to Trump's glaring faults (too many to list). I personally weeded out all the racists and bigots from my circle of friends and family. Even my sister and other family members who shared numerous hateful memes that showed up on my social media page have been "unfriended" in a manner of speaking. And when she sent me an email asking me what was wrong, why had I "unfriended" her, I was honest. I'm not putting up with that bigotry, and hate, and racist ****. It's unacceptable.
It's hard to "hurt the feelings" of friends and family members, but I could no longer keep my mouth shut in order to keep peace in my circle of friends and family. Racism and bigotry is unacceptable even when people you love are the culprits. That must be made clear.
Each and every one of us must draw a line. We don't have to put up with it and we shouldn't. I should have drawn that line years ago when my older sister, a California resident, was complaining that the California Supreme Court had negated the will of the majority when it declared the ban on gay marriages unconstitutional. I explained to her that it was indeed unconstitutional and if she was against gay marriage (based on her religious beliefs and the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman), then she shouldn't marry a woman. After all, every time she married (4 times), she married a man and that was her choice. She does not have the right, however, to impose her personal preferences in matrimony on everyone else in our diverse society through the operation of our laws. But my words had no impact at all because she was my big sister and I still treated her with an abundance of love and affection. There were no consequences and she merely believed our "difference of opinion" was no big deal. But it is a big deal with devastating consequences.
I guess the last straw for me was when my sister shared a meme addressed to all Democrats and Liberals and announcing a litany of terrible things that caused her and her ilk to rise up against us (her enemies) and elect Donald Trump as our next president. Wow, sister, I never did any of those things. How blind and indoctrinated into the hate culture are you? I don't need you in my life.
Well, I'm just ranting. I'm very disappointed in my fellow citizens (including numerous friends and family members). I have loved so many people in my life who harbor unacceptable bigotry and I'm tired of tiptoeing around their sensitive feelings. I'm not putting up with their hateful ****. Not anymore.
