@reasoning logic,
The "anointing" of Clinton is not new news. It is just being brought to light again, still nothing illegal nor uncommon in all political races. It is one of the reasons she lost, because it was so blatant and not pleasant to view. However, the greatest reason for her defeat was the tRump illegal Russian collusion in conspiring to violate the election laws of the United States, which prohibit foreign nationals from contributing any “thing of value” to an electoral campaign. That, along with Comey's late "campaigning" letter, Hillary's deplorable remark (which I personally like Twisted Evil ) and not doing late campaigning in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania added their bit to her loss.

Do you agree with Donna's statement? She said she was not Clinton's Patsy the slave.

The conservative operatives are winning when we talk about the last election, rather than its deplorable result.

@reasoning logic,
It was self evident at the time........but, not a contributing factor in the loss. The control of money and staff have often been at the whim of the anointed, as I said before. Friction to the anointed is a negative factor. I once said during the process that I wished Donna was the anointed, definitely not Biden!

And, no the DNC is not losing from an engrained characteristic of past political processes! You are talking a new normal, if accepted. It is kinda misogynistic to place this new rule on Clinton......

I see guys like Ryqn are more quickly distancing themselves from this idiot. Even pence, seems to be less "passionate" with his encomia for Plumpity.
God knows what they say about him privately. But they've worked hard, from near the beginning, to imply some space between them and Trump and to speak such that they can later (if needed) try the plausible deniability dodge.

Yet very, very few present GOPers in the House or the Senate are doing anything visible to curb or even criticize the administration because it is giving the movement conservatives and corporate interests pretty much everything they've long wanted.

This shows the unrelenting, immature spite of the billionaire class, beginning with tRump!
It also is just one more incident in a long line of such incidents where busting unions is seen by rich right wing extremists as an essential component of their goal to remove constraints and impediments of gaining maximal wealth and power.

What is so ironic about this is tRump win is 100% due to his promises to unions and the working class which he has done nothing on their behalf. Well, save for his White Supremacist diatribe to that part of its membership........

@wmwcjr,
It was some history I did not know. But there is a version of "American exceptionalism" which is both common and seriously myopic - "it can't happen here". Of course it can.

How insane this can get has been evident over the last decade with people falling to the fear/belief that America and her institutions were in actual danger of being subsumed under Sharia Law but at the same time most of these same people would hold that fascism in America was a near impossibility.

Which is once again pure irony because the "Sharia Law" the extreme right was falsely claiming is based on and approximates the same "Christian Law" they want congress to promulgate....

@hightor,

And why is an expensive facility like Guantanamo needed for detention? If the case is so doubtful that the government doesn't feel it can legally hold the suspects on US territory it has no business detaining them at all.

It's one of many such facilities, and they're mostly used for drug and torture experiments, and mind control trials the spooks have been playing with for the longest time. It's probably why the last admin failed to have them closed.

All the people are talking about it, and the election, and its result, are the topic, and inexplicably (to some) intertwined.

Agreed. And the effects on our economy are so far very beneficial for nearly everyone. GDP growth rates are up from their previous levels; unemployment is decreasing. Next we need some wage growth and a reversal of the depressed work force participation rate, inherited from the previous administration. In each area there is already detectable optimism and expectation of continued beneficial changes.

No you sic puppy, the DNC is loosing more and more credibility as the light is shined on them.

So what's the desired endgame? The DNC finally crumbles under the righteous scrutiny, then reforms and conquers with the leadership of the only pure progressive politician - Bernie? If not that, what do you want to happen? Besides the utter vanquishing forever of all traces of Clinton and anyone like her, do you know what you want?
