There's a story blowing up re the sudden decision by Jason Miller, two days after being tapped to lead the Trump WH communications team, to resign the transition team to "spend more time with my family". But we can skip that until after Christmas.

And wouldn't it be refreshing to hear some politico say, "I'm taking this time-consuming post in order to spend less time with my family"

Well, Kellyanne made it clear that the only time consuming things standing in the way of government service and family commitments are mistresses and golf.

Oh Look: Twitter, Twitter, Twitter . . . .

'Congratulations to the baby daddy!': Trump's married communications director quits just two days after being appointed as female staffer hints in series of tweets that he has been involved in a 'John Edwards' style sex scandal

Isn't it pitiful how this is the best ammunition they have to fire against Donald Trump.

Yes they did. And they'll do far worse now. Because they are not conservatives, they are revolutionaries.

Fascist revolutionaries.

If someone was a fascist disguised as a populist leader, what would be his next move in his "big lie" playbook (i.e., what would be his pretext for dictatorship)?

@giujohn,
They are in their death throes, it's natural for them to sound even more hateful than normal.

They will someday return as liberal progressive democrat zombies... not much of a change.

Here is an example of a typical, if blatant, major grift of the sort that runs throughout the modern right

The Greatest Event Since Winning The Revolutionary War Is About To Unfold… And I Will Be There For You!

Dear Loyal Members:

RED ALERT: Hordes of insane liberal insurgents are planning a frontal attack during the inauguration on January 20 in Washington D.C.!

Listen up! I and many of the Tea Party leaders will be at the inauguration, and it is reported the liberal mob have specifically targeted conservative leaders… there may even be a hefty price on our heads. The liberal mob will stop at nothing to destroy the swearing in of Donald J Trump as the next President of the United States.

But we will not back down! This is why we need sponsors now! Insiders are whispering underworld leaders such as George Soros and the Leftist Crime Machine may be financing all-out attacks on this ceremony, but we will be ready.

...I’m stating for the record: I must ask you to sponsor our Tea Party trip to Washington DC, secure our safety, which include bodyguards and safe passage back home. Can I count on you?

To be honest we need over $49,700 to ensure our safety and reasonable travel expenses.

I must trust you today to say ‘YES‘ and click the link, give as much as you can.

Isn't that just special. And I particularly love that final "To be honest"

But the strange case of Mr Clinton 's trip to Moscow looks to have a greater impact on this weekend's first presidential television debate, and on the election, now little more than three weeks away.

Mr Clinton should 'level with the American people on the draft, on whether he went to Moscow, how many demonstrations he led against his own country from foreign soil,' Mr Bush declared on the Larry King television show.

'I don't have the facts, but to go to Moscow one year after Russia crushed Czechoslovakia, and not remember who you saw - I think the answer is, level with the American people,' Mr Bush repeated.

Same with the KKK who were ostensible Christian. There is no mainstream description that I'm aware of calling them Christian Terrorists. Indeed, some of the excuses I've personally heard are that those KKK members are "Not really Christian". Yet no such 'relief' is given to Islam..

I agree with what you are saying here but the people responsible for deciding what to do about 'Islamic terrorism' ARE looking at it as if the Islamists doing the terrorism are just "political opportunists and thugs using religion as a cover for their real motivations". That is utterly ignorant Bull ****.

They have a fully coherent vision/interpretation and deeply held belief in their religion. Whether you regard their impulse to seek God through their religion as some kind of human evolutionary defect or a natural instinct toward the God of creation you have to recognize that fact in order to deal with it.

They are very pretty cars. I don't drive much though. My three year old car only just reached 3,000 miles on the odometer. My hubby has driven my car more than I have.

CALLING ALL CHRISTIANS! CALLING ALL CHRISTIANS!
A NEW KING IS BORN AMONG US!
Quote:
Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus and Co-Chair Sharon Day released the following statement celebrating Christmas:

“Merry Christmas to all! Over two millennia ago, a new hope was born into the world, a Savior who would offer the promise of salvation to all mankind. Just as the three wise men did on that night, this Christmas heralds a time to celebrate the good news of a new King.
GOP Press Release today

Preibus is trolling so don't take the bait. People are already reacting to this which is just what he/they want and the denial of what he's up to is easy.

One can gain a lot of enlightenment through understanding that modern conservatism commonly operates as a trolling operation (take Coulter, take Limbaugh, take Gingrich, take McConnell and definitely take Trump). Pushing emotional buttons and getting people worked up is a broadly implemented strategy, just as it is with an online troll. Building or augmenting or bringing people together is not the point and goal. The point and goal is the opposite.

I don't know that that is an accurate assessment, L. There's a necessary differentiation to be made between how these people are actually understood by folks responsible for dealing with them and what it is that ought not to be said publicly regarding them. It would be a mistake to imagine that the advisory groups around this or the past administration did not include many Muslim scholars. But it surely will not help (as Bush belatedly recognized) for the US to cast this as a religious war because that plays right into the hands of the people who target us.
