@Blickers,
Blickers wrote:
Money laundering for the Russkies for two decades is a crime.

Perhaps, but it is unlikely that Trump or his family committed that crime.

Blickers wrote:
And Mueller is setting the stage slowly, deliberately and effectively. Trump's about to go down, and deep down inside he knows it.

Trump is in no danger. It is unlikely that he committed a crime. And in the pretty unlikely event that he did commit a crime, the Clinton precedent means it doesn't matter.

Blickers wrote:
Bill lied about getting nookie in the White House, something presidents have been doing since time immemorial. The only reason they didn't lie is because people back then were too discreet to ask.

Bill Clinton committed perjury before a civil court, perjury before a grand jury, witness tampering, and obstruction of justice. All committed while he was president and all committed inside the White House.

No one is going to care if Trump was involved in Russian money laundering before he even became president. (Not that he was involved in any such thing, but just for the sake of argument.)

Blickers wrote:
The greedy Republicans changed that when they went after Bill.

It had nothing to do with greed. The Democrats abused the law to persecute Nixon and Reagan (not to mention Senator Packwood). The Republicans merely gave the Democrats a dose of their own medicine in order to make them back off.

In the unlikely event that the Democrats succeed in doing serious damage with their current witch hunt, there will be a lot more of what happened to Bill Clinton coming the next time a Democrat becomes president.

However, I don't think things will get that far. I think Trump will manage to put a stop to the Democrats and their witch hunt before they do serious damage.

Blickers wrote:
The stuff Trump's doing with America's traditional enemy Russia makes Monica look like a couple of doctored parking tickets.

Bill Clinton's crimes were crimes against the US government, committed while he was president, and committed inside the White House.

If Trump was involved in Russian money laundering, the primary victims were Russians, the primary perpetrators were Russians, and the crime would have taken place before Trump even took office.

In the unlikely event that Trump was involved in such a crime, it was pretty trivial compared to what the Democrats let Bill Clinton get away with.

Hmmm, I think you missed the whole point of Trump's win here; democracy doesn't exist in the US of A. Money talks, and BS walks.

What's your opine of sycophants and hyprocrites backing HRC long after she shot herself in both feet dozens of times?

The Democrats are doing their best to erase democracy in America, but IMO Trump will get the better of them and preserve our freedom.

DNC rep Harlan Hill came to Australia to co-comment on election day with our veteran political commentator, Laurie Oakes on live TV. Harlan let it be known that the DNC supported Trump's candidacy, because they thought it would save them, and HRC, several million dollars in campaign costs. Such was their confidence that Trump would hand the win to her.

This was live, on our TV, and it's been cut from any recordings. Laurie Oakes' jaw hit the floor.

Chuck Schumer slams Trump tax plan: ‘Really a boon for the very wealthy’
Quote:
The top Senate Democrat warned that President Trump would pull a bait-and-switch when he stumps for a tax reform Wednesday, saying the president’s populist rhetoric was being used to disguise a plan geared toward the wealthy and powerful.

“The president has repeatedly talked a good game when it comes to the working class. But just about everything he’s done has been to benefit the wealthy special interests, adding to the burden of those in the middle class,” Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer said in a conference call with liberal activists.

“We Democrats will not go along with a tax plan that includes a tax cut for the folks who need it least,” said the New York Democrat.

The conference call was a preemptive strike against Mr. Trump’s plan. Tax reform will be one of the next major battles when lawmakers return to Washington next month.

Mr. Trump will give a speech later Wednesday laying out his vision for tax reform and seeking to build grass-roots support for the effort.

While the president is not expected to present details of the plan, the president will describe how simplifying the tax code, reducing tax rates and eliminating most deductions will create jobs and expand the economy.

Mr. Trump will stress how tax reform will restore fairness to a “system rigged for the wealthy and special interests,” White House officials said.

Mr. Schumer said Republicans wouldn’t remain true to the president’s words.

He also warned that Mr. Trump and congressional Republicans would eventually roll out a plan with tax cuts for the wealthy that blows a hole in the budget and forces cuts to Medicare, Social Security and welfare programs.

“We Democrats are not going to be part of such a cynical strategy,” he said. “And if Donald Trump is gong to stick to his promise not to cut Medicare, Medicaid or Social Security, he shouldn’t be, either

Good on the Aussies.

Quote:
A US author who bills himself as the "world's #1 anti-vaxxer" has been denied a visa to enter Australia for a speaking tour.
Kent Heckenlively had planned to visit Australia in December to call for a five-year ban on vaccinations.
Medical experts, including the World Health Organization, have repeatedly said that vaccinations are safe and vital to halting infectious diseases.
Australia gave bans to two other anti-vaccination advocates last month.
Immigration Minister Peter Dutton confirmed that Mr Heckenlively would not be allowed to enter Australia, describing anti-vaccination advocates as "dangerous people".
"It is clear to me that it is not in our national interest that he should come here," Mr Dutton told local radio station 2GB.

@oralloy,
Your constant parroting of other's words is testament to your inability to think for yourself. You're the most frightened person I've ever come across.

You should leave discussions like this to people who don't live in constant fear and can actually think for themselves.

You're a joke, a twisted caricature that's moved way beyond satire, nobody takes you seriously, not even fellow travellers like Finn.

You should stick to World of Warcraft, at least there you might have a chance of knowing what's going on.

We do have problems with the far right as well, but most of their activities descend into farce.

Quote:
Violence broke out at Tommy Robinson’s book signing at an off-licence in Sunderland leaving one person injured.

Police were called to the former English Defence League leader’s event which was being held at Fletcher’s News & Booze shortly before a Sunderland-Celtic match the same day.

An 18-year-old man at the local corner shop suffered a head injury and was taken to hospital. Police have said they are carrying out enquiries to determine the details of the incident.

Video footage posted on social media showed a flare and other objects being hurled towards the local shop before fighting erupted on the street.

The far-right activist, who was filmed scuffling with a man at Ascot last month, shared a photo of himself wearing a Rangers football shirt inside the off-licence.

Rangers are of course Celtics’ arch rivals and Mr Robinson had criticised and taunted Celtics in a video posted on his Facebook page earlier.

In the four-minute video, the 34-year-old drew attention to the fact Celtic fans show solidarity with the people of Palestine, saying: “Palestine hates you”.

“All these girls who have got their cleavage out and their Celtic tops… take your cleavage, take your Celtic top and walk through Gaza and show me your solidarity,” he added. “Because you won’t have any. You’ll have the biggest shock of your life. So stop hating on me."

Mr Robinson then said he was heading to the shop, which until recently had the words “Don’t fund terrorism shop at Fletcher’s” plastered on its exterior signage, because he thinks the owner is a “good lad”.

More than 20 football fans were arrested in Sunderland after trouble erupted in the city before the match. Police said the majority were not linked to Mr Robinson’s book signing and were related to people being drunk and disorderly, using illegal pyrotechnics and committing a breach of the peace.

Emergency services were called to the shop which is in Hendon, a heavily industrial part of Sunderland with a large concentration of high-rise residential tower blocks, at about 1.40pm.

Assistant Chief Constable Helen McMillan said: "Unfortunately, we did have some incidents of disorder in and around Sunderland between Sunderland and Celtic fans and, while police dealt with them quickly, it is a shame these type of incidents happen at all."

Mr Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, has come under fire in recent weeks for his response to the spate of terror attacks. He sparked fury for attacking the Quran as a “violent and cursed book” just a day after the Finsbury Park terror attack and was condemned for launching into a tirade about Islamic extremism at the scene of the Westminster attack.

The far-right campaigner announced he was leaving the EDL in 2013 in a joint conference with think tank Quilliam. His departure was widely covered, with the former leader later telling police he would help with their investigations into alleged racists within the extremist group. Mr Robinson is now the UK leader of Pegida which stands for Patriotic Europeans against the Islamisation of the West.

Sunderland were beaten by Celtic 5-0

It is ironic how Hitler used the Reichstag fire to outlaw all left-wing parties, and then used the Enabling Act to outlaw all parties except the NSDAP. Oralloy's program is grimly reminiscent of that.

Just a note on Emmett Grogan/Bobsal. I don't know any more than anyone else, I do however, remember the terms of the bet between Bobsal and Gooey. The loser, in this case Bobsal, had to leave A2K and never return under that name.

He was free to return under a different name but only under the condition that he did not divulge his true identity to anyone else on A2K. While I fully appreciate that for those who voted for Trump honour is a completely alien concept that wasn't the case for Bob.

So if Emmett is Bob then he is acting honourably as per the terms of the bet, admitting to being Bob would be in breach of those terms.

During heavy rainfall from Hurricane Harvey, the Arkema plant at Crosby lost the ability to refrigerate chemical compounds that need to be kept cool.
There was no way to prevent an explosion, the company warned earlier.

There is nothing about my proposal that even remotely resembles that. But the fact that the only argument that you can muster is "he's a nazi" is ample demonstration that there are no real arguments against my proposal.

But maybe calling people nazis will make you feel better despite your lack of any serious arguments.
