You're right with respect to the minions of "useful idiots" who are recruited by the high level commie-ass strategists, I think, Finn.

But at the top, this has been an essential element of the plan to undermine our culture. It's also the hardest to achieve. Human nature is simply not generally receptive to the notion that "the state" should replace "the family" as the entity most entitled to allegiance, loyalty, devotion, and subservience.

Along the lines you are addressing, Finn, I find it interesting that some (formerly religious) militant atheists freely and openly admit that atheist organizations fill in the "void" created when they abandoned religion.

They get the same sense of community, purpose, and affirmation from them as they did the church. And it gives them an evangelical message to spread with the same devout fervor. They proselytize on behalf of atheism 24/7, instead of christianity, that's all.

They even have "atheist churches" which meet to worship regularly with an atheist preacher delivering sermons on the virtues of atheism.

Go figure, eh?

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged an immigration detainer against Martinez in December 2016, asking local authorities to notify them before releasing Martinez. However, he was released into the community and ICE was not notified.

It is illegal for cities in Oregon to use their resources to help enforce federal immigration laws; in March, Portland declared itself a "sanctuary city" for undocumented immigrants.

I'm sure the citizens of Portland are all thrilled with the policies of the cheese-eaters that they elected to office. Well, the cheese-eating citizens, anyway.

So, uncertain if your presumption is correct. It might be.

It's difficult for me to imagine Kelly (or anyone with a senior level military background) will be able to operate in that post in this WH under Trump. It will be interesting to watch what new sorts of crap and dysfunction will be engendered.

Not to mention the crazy antics and shenanigans elsewhere in the Trump W.H. One of the puzzleers (for about a tenth of a second), came when Trump told how good Kelly has been in charge of Homeland Security. Then why move one of the few people he got somewhat correct in his appointments?

Then I remembered it was Trump and he needs distractions from his latest bloopers. Sure , bringing in the foul mouthed and foul fingered motor-mouth Scaramucci helps distract from Trump's abusive tweets and verbal tirades, but, it's always good to have a backup plan.

Trump is a pragmatist, and a proponent of what "works." The "success" (if you want to call it that) that cheese-eaters have achieved in advancing their horrifying agenda by means of whining and playing the victim has not been lost on him.

He will employ such sorry tactics when he thinks it will advance his agenda. Turnabout is fair play, eh?

I never paid the least bit of attention to Trump before he ran for president. I had the general impression that he was a flashy, self-promoting, self-aggrandizing billionaire from New York, and that's about it. I have never watched even one episode of his "you're fired" reality TV show, have never read his book (or is it "books," plural?), or otherwise become familiar with his public persona.

Since then, in an effort to understand his background and his mindset a little better, I have watched a few of his older interviews, from a time when he presumably had no political ambitions at all.

I've concluded that he is (or at least was) a very shrewd operator and a master manipulator who has a great deal of self-control. Any "outbursts" by him, at least in public, are mostly products of calculated design, not uncontrollable impulses, I figure, and that includes most of his notorious tweets.

I think this person misreads him:

Here's a two minute example, which I've posted before, which shows one of his early "outbursts" with the media where he abruptly terminates an interview. His demeanor is completely calm and self-controlled.

I really don't think much of Peggy Noonan and this description of what she says she considers Trump's greatest failing is a fine example of why.

PS, anyone who's read excerpts from Joshua Green's bio on Bannon understands that Bannon proudly and explicitly admits to being a propagandist and that he's modeled his films on Leni Riefenstahl's work for the Nazis.
