A cheese-eater's argument for letting child molesters walk:

The New York Times wrote:
Pedophilia: A Disorder, Not a Crime

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders defines pedophilia as an intense and recurrent sexual interest in prepubescent children, and a disorder if it causes a person “marked distress or interpersonal difficulty” or if the person acts on his interests.

A second misconception is that pedophilia is a choice. Recent research, while often limited to sex offenders — because of the stigma of pedophilia — suggests that the disorder may have neurological origins.

Our current law is inconsistent and irrational. For example, federal law and 20 states allow courts to issue a civil order committing a sex offender, particularly one with a diagnosis of pedophilia, to a mental health facility immediately after the completion of his sentence — under standards that are much more lax than for ordinary “civil commitment” for people with mental illness.

The Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 prohibit discrimination against otherwise qualified individuals with mental disabilities, in areas such as employment, education and medical care. Congress, however, explicitly excluded pedophilia from protection under these two crucial laws.

It’s time to revisit these categorical exclusions. Without legal protection, a pedophile cannot risk seeking treatment.... Arguing for the rights of scorned and misunderstood groups is never popular, particularly when they are associated with real harm. But the fact that pedophilia is so despised is precisely why our responses to it, in criminal justice and mental health, have been so inconsistent and counterproductive. or disclosing his status to anyone for support. He could lose his job, and future job prospects...

So, there ya have it, then, eh? These people are merely "diabled," they're not criminals. They should be given large SSI checks every month and just left be. You can't blame them, cause they aint got no choice.

NAMBLA members say ya gotta take things on step at a time.

First step: Decriminalize pedophila by saying it's a mental disorder.

Second step: Once that's accomplished, say it's not really a disorder at all. It's just completely normal behavior.

Third step: Lobby cheese-eating legislators nation-wide until all state have reduced the age of consent to 2 years old.

Okay, I just found out the site that quote came from is saying it's meant to be a satire, so maybe Eric didn't say it. Would have been funny!
(and it was believable, wasn't it?)

Ya might wanna make some effort find that kinda **** out BEFORE you run around vouching for it's authenticity, eh, Snooty? Oh, wait...nevermind, I forgot. Cheese-eaters NEVER do that.

To answer your question: Yeah, it's very "believable" if you're a cheese-eating chump.

Trump's Master Plan with Sessions, Priebus, Mueller and Kelly

So, come to find out, Trump devised a master plan to solve all his problems a while back, and he's now implementing it. Here's the deal:

1. Get rid of Priebus, who aint doing a good job anyway. Sure, he's a pal, but so what?

2.Move Kelly from Homeland Security to the Chief of Staff position. This will bring some discipline to the joint and Scarmucci can still be the hatchetman.

3. This frees up a new slot for Jeff Sessions, one where he can focus even more strongly on cracking down on immigration. This will satisfy conservatives.

4. Best of all, his new AG will not have to recuse himself and can fire Mueller the day he's appointed. Fun while it lasted, eh, Rosenstein?

Mueller has provided cause for being fired, since he has failed to recuse himself despite an undeniable conflict of interest.

Brilliant, I tellzya!

Could Jeff Sessions be moved to the Department of Homeland Security?

It’s an idea some political observers have been debating after President Trump announced Friday that John Kelly, who leads the department, would replace Reince Priebus as White House chief of staff.

“Conservatives that came to Jeff Sessions’ defense this week all said, ‘But he’s doing the best on the issue we care about most and that is immigration.’ Well, where can Jeff Sessions do even more on immigration? As the secretary of Homeland Security,” Perino said.

Such a move would not be popular with liberals.

“To be clear: appointing Jeff Sessions to replace John Kelly at DHS to disrupt the Russia investigation would be met with MASS RESISTANCE,” Zac Petkanas, a Democratic strategist who previously worked for Hillary Clinton and Harry Reid, tweeted Saturday.

Ooooh, "mass resistance," eh? Now THAT would be something new, sho nuff.

Schumer blasts Trump's threat to end ObamaCare payments: Start 'acting presidential'

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Saturday called on President Trump to "finally begin acting presidential" after Trump threatened to end key ObamaCare payments to insurers.

"If the president refuses to make the cost sharing reduction payments, every expert agrees that premiums will go up and health care will be more expensive for millions of Americans," Schumer said in a statement.

"The president ought to stop playing politics with people's lives and health care, start leading, and finally begin acting presidential," he added.

Trump reiterated his threat to end the payments – known as Cost Sharing Reduction (CSR) payments – in a tweet Saturday following the collapse of Senate GOP efforts this week to repeal and replace ObamaCare, while also drawing a target on members' benefits.

LOL I never claimed to have the smarts. But a lot of it was wishful thinking. I love catching Beavis and Butthead Drumpf doing something ridiculous.

@layman,
My wife has predicting for some time now that pedophiles will be the next class of society's victims for whom the Left will rally. I never gave her prediction much credence but I'm no longer so sure.

I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Well, ya know, Finn, for decades the "rainbow coalition" fully embraced NAMBLA. That lasted until the U.N. was offering them large sums of money, in the 90's as I recall, but only on the condition that they condemn and disassociate from NAMBLA. Needless to say, they then quickly threw their fellow "oppressed" comrades from NAMBLA under the bus.

No, it doesn't, and I still agree with you that the public expression of unhappiness with Sessions is inappropriate and uncalled for.

That said, as I have previously posted, there is a school of thought that might disagree. In the old days, you were taken to the "woodshed" to get a beating--apparently to at least spare you public humiliation, even if everyone knew (from the screams if nothing else) what was happening.

But sometimes general deterrence might be better served by beating your ass out in the front yard, for all to see. The other kids will then graphically see just what might happen to them if they get out of hand, ya know?

Not to be missed, eh? A "must read" kinda thing, eh? We're all sure glad that you're not some slimy troll who calls people names, eh? You just have others do it for you, and demand that everyone hear it.

You're not a troll. As Patton said: "Hell, you're nothing but a damn coward."

I read that the GOP budget includes some billions in expenditure for a wall.

A comic recently suggested that in order to truly protect Americans, along with the southern border wall, Trump would also built a ceiling, and make the Martians pay for it.

Not only that, but we're gunna dig a hole to the center of the earth to dump all the ones who manage to get by us in, and make hell pay for it.

This won't be hell to pay, it will be pay the **** up, hell. As it should, seein as how we're gunna feed them so many new souls.
