@Frugal1,
My understanding is some guy from Maine tried to vote for Bernie but he was replaced two Republicans from Texas did not vote for Trump I believe one of them voted for John Kasich but there seem to be more defectors or attempted defectors who wanted not to vote for Hillary then there were those who didn't want to vote for Trump. In Washington state I believe instead of voting for Hillary I believe they voted for Colin Powell.

I think the final score was Trump 304 Hillary 228

@RABEL222,
Didn't vote = doesn't matter. If someone didn't care enough before the election they really don't have anyone to blame but themselves after. Maybe they will even end up liking the president who knows?

As for the minority/ majority thing, welcome to our United States republic. It's been that way forever.

@blatham,
Nonsense. It's simply a meaningful observation that most people recognize when hearing it, though interpretations differ. I don't know who first said it or what context he or she had in mind in doing so , and frankly don't care very much either way.

I agreee that one can see many things in or behind it, depending on point of view and preconceptions. Yours are duly noted, but I don't accept them.

With respect to Trump, I agree there is a lot of readily detectable uncertainty about his future behavior in office. A large fraction of that is simply a result of his lack of a government service track record and all that implies.

The fact is that initial expectations for Obama were much higher than what we eventually saw. Other presidents have surprised as well. Harry Truman's place in our History is vastly better than the contemporaneous judgments of him. Expectations for Jimmy Carter were very high but the results disappointing. Reagan ended up confounding all his critics (except perhaps you) for his wisdom and achievments in office.

I am encouraged by Trump's perseverance through a difficut campaign that proved him right on a number of important points. His appointments to date encourage me further (however unsettling they may be to you). I believe he has the disposition to shake up an overgrown Federal bureaucracy that badly needs a large dose of that remedy; a clear view of the priority issues before the country; and a perhaps surprising ability to reach out and get the alignment of people towards achieving his goals.

We shall see....

@giujohn,
With all Republican states reporting, Trump lost only the two electors in Texas. One voted for Kasich, the Ohio governor; the other voted for former Texas Rep. Ron Paul.

Clinton lost four electors in Washington state — three voted for former Secretary of State Colin Powell and one voted for Native American tribal leader Faith Spotted Eagle.

@tony5732,
Rave on you conservatives. We are all truly screwed. Even those of you who think you have won. Go on putting down those of us who recognize tRumps lying bullshyt but later on in this cycle it will be our time. tRump has already started to use the presidency to make himself richer as is proven by a previous post.

Didn't Donald say he was going to sue all the media about his groping?

@cicerone imposter,
The "sexual assault " thing was just blown WAY out of proportion, just like Hillary's super predator comments. There's a reason all these kinds of women only show up at certain times.

@ehBeth,
4000 pending suits but only a couple of dozen are "significant". I don't see any reason to imagine his attorneys would be other than truthful and transparent. For one thing, they will surely wish to come up to their client's high standards regarding honesty and integrity and his deep commitment to follow the spirit of American law.
