I respect your sentiment about a full and fair investigation, but America has ceased to be a democracy. We are in a pretty steep decline.

We live on in a representative republic...and it was in decline for the past 8 years...but it is rebounding now.😁

@giujohn,
You don't even have a good enough grasp of the English language to discuss these things, guijohn.

Idiots read things at right wing websites and they brainlessly repeat the memes they hear.

“I don't know what's the matter with people: they don't learn by understanding, they learn by some other way — by rote or something. Their knowledge is so fragile!”
-Richard Feynman

M-W:
democracy
a : government by the people; especially : rule of the majority
b : a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections
2
: a political unit that has a democratic government

Aint nobody gunna tolerate bein dissed, eh? Gianforte should get some lessons from this guy:

Quote:
Florida murder suspect tells police his roommates 'disrespected' Islam

A man in Florida told police he murdered his two roommates at their apartment because they "disrespected" his Islamic faith, police records revealed on Monday.

The suspect mentioned "Allah Mohammed!" during his arrest in Tampa on Friday night.

He led police to the bodies after he released two customers and an employee he'd taken hostage at a nearby smoke shop, officers said.

"I had to do it. This wouldn't have had to happen if your country didn't bomb my country."

Y'all best remember that when you run across muslims in this country, eh?

From a surface level, it would appear that Dems expected a huge revolt and revolutionary uprising against Trump and it has, so far, failed to occur. Reps keep winning elections.

That's because the demoperv party is a criminal enterprise and, in this Internet age, they are increasingly unable to hide that from people.

@Lash,
The United States was never meant to be a democracy. All of our founding documents describe our government as a constitutional republic. In a democracy, if a majority of the people were to decide to hang you because they didn't like your looks, they could legally do that. In a constitutional republic, that cannot happen.

Well, here's the "progressives" for ya, eh? A mob hasn't taken over a college campus, with the campus police barricaded in their own headquarters. They have been in control for a few days, and have threatened violence if all white people don't leave the campus.

@gungasnake,
bullshit as usual. In a CONSTITUTIONAL DEMOCRACY LIKE OURS, THAT CAN'T HAPPPEN EITHER. As most people not blinded by ideology point out and have done so for at least a century, and as dictionary definitions agree, republics and democracies as we know them today are essentially identical--citizens who vote for their representatives and executive offic And don't give me any of that uber-right "democracies are mob rules" crap. What you guys pejoratively call ''mob rule"is in fact nothing but good old MAJORITY RULE, which is how we have ALWAYS decided things. And of course our Constitution protects rights and minority rights. snakkke as usual is out of his gourd.

You guys are unbelievably, woefully, stunningly ignorant of everything, including your own history, your own country.

The hanging bit of idiocy is a dandy example. You folks have followed, like sheep, every US administration that has screamed 'boogeyman', into illegal invasion after illegal invasion. Murdering tens of millions in the process.

Your grand constitutional republic, where you say people can't be murdered by a majority, have seen tens of millions murdered by your willful blindness, your arrant stupidity, when just a wee bit of thought would have told you, "hey, these dirty POS always lie to us".

So some nutty right wing demagogue fills your head with some nonsense about you being special and you dolts swallow it all, hook, line and sinker.

Old news, layman. Your silly desperation is showing - AGAIN!

The worldwide count is somewhere around 4 or 5 million Muslims and others murdered by the US compared to what, a hundred, maybe two hundred Americans.

You are a lousy propagandist, but a propagandist nonetheless.

Why on earth does this bit of honesty issue from such a pathetic supporter of war crimes and terrorism?

Yes, much work has to be done to keep the murderous cretins in the white house from slaughtering more millions of innocents.

And to control the incredible cretins that support these vicious war crimes/terrorism.

I'm always surprised about some Americans think, "democracy" is.

I live in a democratic, federal parliamentary republic - what we are again since 1949, brought back e.g. by the Americans.

You guys believe any ole crap you are fed. This is one of the founding terrorists, a rank slave holder, the guy who made up a lot of the fanciful bullshit that you all swallowed.

The guy who was given a huge sum of money to free all his slaves but just kept the money and kept the slaves.

Why would you believe a bunch of lying terrorists who only wanted to get their hands on the wealth the Brits were taking?

The US fluctuates between mob rule and democracy.

Which of course can happen in a pure republic too. What stops it from happening in a democracy is the same as in a republic. A CONSTITUTION. duh. Constitutional Democracies have one. Double duh.

What is it you think you're "correcting," I wonder? Duh.

BTW, calling a form of government a "constitutional democracy" doesn't really say ****. The nature of such a government would strictly depend on the contents of its constitution.
