Big parade and rally today. Media were reporting as many as 5 million people might show up. To put that in perspective, Chicago itself has only about 2.1 million people. The Cubs' den truly encompasses many multitudes.
That's bears repeating!

@McGentrix,
You'd shoot yourself in the foot. You do on A2K every day, and I doubt the real world's any different.
This should be a feel good thread about sporting success, you just want to snipe for argument's sake. Can't you leave stuff like that to the political threads.
We beat Inter Milan, Inter bloody Milan. Nothing you say can alter that, or knock me off cloud nine not matter how many times you shoot your dick off.
Didn't Chelsea just clobber Southampton 2-nil? It's ok. That is a good win actually.
Just one more though...
Q: Did you hear that Southampton doesn't have a website?
A: They can't string three "Ws" together.

I'd just like to point out, for those who might want to contribute something relevant to this thread, that the Chicago Cubs are an American baseball team that recently won the World Series.
Is that close to Michigan Avenue? Did the walking and cruise architectural tours on my last visit to the Windy City. Lived in Naperville for 3.5 years when I worked for Florsheim Shoe Company. But, that was five lifetimes ago.
Sorry if I've diverted the thread. I didn't mean to, just wanted to share another sporting achievement that has lifted the spirits in my home city. I'm glad the Cub's curse is broken.
