Sorry Kicks, I rarely disagree but...the lack of a salary cap in baseball makes the pats run much more significant.
Them's fightn' words! Put 'em up!

Your office must be ROFLAO
But seriously, I will get back to this debate in a few minutes. I have some points to make about your hyperbolic statement about the Pats.
none of us'll be around to see a team win their 25th SB...
Okay, back to the argument at hand.
The Yankees have a winning tradition of just about a hundred years. Salary cap or no salary cap, that has not, and probably never will, be matched by ANY team in any sport.
Of course the Pats have done something amazing. But it's like comparing Wilt Chamberlin's 100 point game with the Celtics winning eight titles in a row.
You just can't put a 19-game win streak over two seasons up against years and years of winning, with different players, coaches, changes in league rules, playoff schedules, and decades and decades of time.
There have been a hundred World Series, I believe, and the Yankees have been in it 33 times! One out of every three! And they've won it all 26 times!
That is on a whole different level than a 19-game winning streak, wouldn't you say?
Nor the tenth...this is apples and oranges because of the salary cap and THAT'S why baseball has struggled as opposed to football.

The Canadiens are close, with 24 Stanley Cups, see:

That would be a good comparison, if hockey was actually a sport!
the canajins aren't gonna like that...
Oh sure, Jes, bring up the other team that that drives me nuts!
<go pound sand, Kicky>
What is it about certain Yankee fans that makes them not able to rest until the world acknowledges the greatness of their favorite team?
I, for one, refuse. Sorry...
Most of the Canadiens' championships marked them as the best of six teams. Most of the Yankees' championships marked them as the best of sixteen team. (I didn't research to confirm that the term "most" is accurate for the Yankees.)

Who said they were my favorite team?
Fair enough. So why all the reminders of how many World Series they won?
I was arguing with Panzade about his claim that the Patriots nineteen-game winning streak was as great an accomplishment as the Yankees team accomplishments.
Let's get to the really important stuff. What's with the Boston players' hair?
