How will Trump handle losing the election?

I think Nate Silver is closer to being to right. Look at all the polls, Hillary is barely ahead in most of them and it wouldn't take much anything to upset the race and give it to Trump in some states.

RCP Monday 11/7/16 Polls

The blame can be laid squarely on Comey's thin shoulders. She was way ahead then with all the Trump sex scandals and then Comey made his useless announcement and the election came to a screeching halt.

Stock markets up sharply at opening Monday. Dow up 200 points as financial markets anticipate Clinton will defeat Trump.

It seems like a bad dream. How can Trump summon up these numbers with so many people against him?

Minorities are almost unanimously against him.

College graduates, (32% of the population), are against him.

Women, (53% of the voters), are against him

As the stock market shows, people with money are hugely against him.

Yet the polls show him within 2 points of Hillary.

I'm beginning to wonder if the Trump campaign isn't secretly importing Russians to sit by the phone and wait for the pollsters to call so they can say "Trump".

@Blickers,
The 2 points doesn't make any sense. Some pundits are saying that Clinton has an over 80% chance of winning. That sure doesn't look like 2 points.

@maporsche,
Thanks. I can't see why people, other than certain vested interests, would be against it. I've never paid to see a doctor, or paid an insurance premium for healthcare. My taxes are higher, but I still get free healthcare even when I'm not working, more so in fact. When I'm unemployed, prescriptions, eye tests, NHS glasses and dentistry are all free.

@cicerone imposter,
An 80% change of winning doesn't mean 80% support, it means the likelihood of it happening. Those percentage points are averaged out across the board and in some constituencies a 1% swing can be a big deal while in others 5-10% won't make much of a difference. Those who set the odds don't rely on a blunt overall figure, they look at all the minutiae .

@Blickers,
Exactly my thought. With his insults to every single demographic in the US besides white males who think like him, mostly red neck looking guys, I don't understand why Hillary isn't wiping the floor with him. I guess people have bought into the right wing smear of Hillary Clinton. If I hear one more time of how both are hated as though there is any comparison I think I will scream. It is all such a lie.

On edit after thinking about it, maybe Hillary has just not run a good campaign. It doesn't seem very proactive to me.

Funny. Stevie Wonder says voting for Trump is like asking him (Wonder) to drive.

@snood,
Yes, and nice to hear him say it..

Meantime, a friend and I had decided to go to our favorite restaurant (first among the favorites) tomorrow, and I called her earlier today to say I didn't really want to go, as I'm too damned nervous re the vote. Heh, I just called back and said I changed my mind, nothings worse than sitting around worrying the day away. Indigo Crow, we'll be there! I may even order a glass of red wine.

@revelette2,
I've had a chance to talk to some folks who think they are equivalent. From what I can gather, the smearing of Hillary is a primary reason.

Most folks do not have the correct context with which to properly understand what is relevant and under what circumstances when it comes to judging Hillary and they allow that the flag that Trump drapes himself in to blind them to obvious comparisons with dictatorial practices that threaten to undermine our society. They think of Trump operating within the current bounds of US politics, not understanding that those institutions and safeguards can be and have been torn to shreds historically with men like him running under like demagoguery.

They also tried to repeal Obamacare 60 times. They have one thing going for them; consistency in doing worthless work.

@bobsal u1553115,
Is there any chance that I can convince you to drop the "tRump" thing. It seems to me no more helpful than others like it such as "demoRat".

Besides, rumps are fine and normally quite friendly things (like balloons or boobs or yummy summertime peaches). Donald is nothing like that.

I can't speak for bobsal, but I can posit an educated guess - No, you can't convince him.
