I'm pointing out the hypocrisy of her extreme left wing beliefs as compared to her own financial situation. Bill has decided this is a good thing.
Extreme left wing beliefs? Nancy Pelosi is no extremist. I grant you, looked at from the point of view of the weirdos in the House (DeLay and gang), she is awfully far away. But that's because of where they are -- way out in la-la land.
Nancy Pelosi, like all Washington Politicians, is well to do. At the same time, she is against Bush's ideas about "growing the economy". Big scandalous whoop.

I used to have two younger friends in college who considered themselves socialists but had nicer stereos than I did. I wondered how this could be. An older friend explained to me that being a socialist didn't require a vow of poverty.

Impressive hyperbole. Anyone can be jealous of rich people; anyone - regardless of their political ideology. Reasonable people on both sides can agree to disagree on the best use of governmental influence on the economy, without attributing stupid little stereotypes to the other side.
