Not that we didn't know before, but see them clearly for what they are. The DNC planned to set Bernie up for excoriation for his religious beliefs.
Know your enemies.

I saw that earlier. Vote Stein. Vote often.
Wow. Americans are jerks.
@contrex,
Easy man, it's just our politicians..

OK, I meant that, I should have made it clear. But Brad Marshall thought that "his Southern Baptist peeps" would think less of Sanders if they thought he doesn't believe in God.
@contrex,
You're right. Approximately half of humanity isn't worth the cost of the buckshot it would take to send us to the next world.
Given that a good deal of the early immigration to North America was the religious detritus of Europe, this should surprise no one. Lash's phony baloney adherence to the Democratic Party, an opportunity to launch cheap shots at Mrs. Clinton, should surprise no one either. She doesn't care who said what, she just wants to smear Clinton.
If one actually believed in God, I wonder if it's even possible to be a politician.
@ehBeth,
You're both liars. And you know it.
There's a lot being read into this email.

The way I read it, they could have been looking to develop a contingency in light of the SBs and the Jesus thing.
Mrs Clinton has chosen a VP candidate, who speaks Spanish. Is that supposed to be an important quality, if one is to be a powerful VP candidate?
What's more important for either a presidential ( or VP) candidate, a man who believes in God, or a man who speaks Spanish? ( Who cares, by the way!)
Maybe, if Bernie spoke Spanish, no one would care whether he believes in God or not.
@Setanta,
When you're right you're bang on the money.
Lash is showing more integrity than many posters on these forums. For too many it is all about attacking the messenger instead of considering the message.
@InfraBlue,

So how do you think it would go? Do you think SBs would prefer a Jew or an Atheist as a VP?
@edgarblythe,
That's not the word I would have chosen. I don't believe the Damascene conversion from Dubya supporter to "Democratic Socialist." Her visceral hatred of Clinton is the only genuine thing about her.
Wasserman Schultz has many Democrat boots on her ass. She'll likely be fired before the day's over.

Religiously, SBs and Jews both believe in the God of the Old Testament, so they have that much in common. Atheists are godless.
