My orthodontist did a pretty good job with my choppers. People say my teeth look fake. (It's a compliment, I think).

Maybe I should just try to not let my upper lip not go up so much when I smile. It looks goofy. Is it possible to "train" your smile?

Is it possible to just go get the whitener? :-)

Have you ever tried to train your lips to do anything?

Kicky as you age, gravity causes your face to sag. Your upper lip will eventually sag a little and probably cover the part of the smile you do not wish to show; your bottom teeth however, will show much more. Celebrities have dental work done to make their top teeth longer...this gives a person a more youthful look and gives the illusion that the upper lip has not sagged at all. The next time you watch TV, notice that when older people talk…you mostly see their bottom teeth and rarely see much of their upper teeth.

In answer to your earlier question, Debra, I would stick with the guy, and just accept the screwing that he and his referred specialist are giving you. It is not easy to find a dentist that you like. It's worth the crap you're taking, in my opinion.
