Damn Bill, good work in an emergency. They evacuated 300,000 from PB County...thought you might be in a shelter with your favorite "banky"

Lol Panzade. It would take a cat 4 or 5 coming directly to just south of me to make me go to a shelter. Frankly, I think I might be better off here. And what if I somehow got separated from my banky? Shocked

Oh, and the ocean appears to be a couple feet higher than normal already, judging by the barnacles. Wicked surf too. Pity the fool who goes off shore today. Idea

Can you believe the Coast Guard is trying to rescue a boatload of people?
Maybe it's some Cubanos who heard that Frances would shorten their travel time.
The police have blocked all access to the ocean...bummer

I haven't seen that story yet. What channel you watching? Our Island (Palm Beach) is open till 8 Pm. At one of my favorite spots to ride, the water was all the way up the beach to the sea wall. Some of the mega wealthy didn't bother putting shutters up. Shocked Some people are really stupid.

I saw interviews with some of the mega wealthy...they basically said...that's what insurance is for...yeah, and we're footing the bill...grrrr
Your island has a little more pull than mine. You got The Donald.

Down to 8 Miles an hour. We're gonna get really wet. Indian River is still the target though. They're guessing 16 ft. Storm surge. Shocked and the pressure just went down so it may get stronger again. Don't get too hammered Panz, might need some wits.

Who needs wits in a 3x6 closet under the stairs?

But I did bring my truck into the garage...she thanked me.

I just called one of the nations largest suppliers of electronic surveillance equipment in Boca Raton, and i get a recording that they've closed their facility as of Noon, September 2, so that staff can evacuate.

Sheesh . . . i don't believe they actually inconvenienced me, personally, on the off chance that they might save a few lives among their staff . . . what kind of girle-men have you got down there . . . anyway?

What kind of a nut case would selfishly call a supplier at 5 pm on Friday? Everyone's at the tiki bar watching the surf consume the mansions and drinking parasol drinks...sheesh!

Okay, now I'm ready for a drink. In a moment of clarity, I took a walk out to my seawall. 6ft to go before my car's a boat. So, I threw my PeeWee Herman bike in the passenger seat, dropped the car off on the third floor of the city place parking tower and managed to ride back in between the feeders! West Palm is a real ghost town now... except for the "animal people". Most everyone I seen was walking a dog. I wonder how many of the people who make poor decisions in these matters, do so on behalf of their animals?

Nah, it's just a couple miles due south and a few blocks west. In sustained wind I have to make myself small so the engine doesn't bog, but no worries. Peewee bikes rule.

Are you crazy? I'm keeping it very handy just in case there's an emergency.

That way, I just toss it on, leap out side and bellow; "Here I come to save the dayyyyyyy!"
