People like to look nice when they go out, especially women. If you know anything about women you'll know they dress for other women, not men. We'll go for a pretty girl wearing a potato sack. They want to show their friends how good they can look.

b) If I am attracting same sex, I do not expect opposite sex to approach me

Some gathering of local business people, businessgirls, engineers, programmers... there is always several nice chicks going around, friendly environment and above all we have common talk intellectually a bit more enlightening that "what do you think is going to be next? 5 or 8? 8!!! Yay!"

it's just not my type OK? Maybe they all have unique and beautiful personality, but what I see on picture is a lot of makeup and skin. The environment is not much appealing too - looks like some noisy evening pub. Maybe at other place at other circumstances I would approach some of them, but not there, not like this. I want to know they are smart and have nice personalities. From that pic I can't estimate anything and I am not going to take chances when I can be at better place with more suitably outfitted people.


You know, that reminds me one... very curious phenomenon I used to observe in my younger years: In central Prague there is a huge messy disco mostly for drunken teens looking for making social media selfies or casual hookups. But I did meet quite a lot females (and males) there 30+ years old and I asked them what are they doing there. Most of inhabitants there is half of their age. Their response: "I am looking for a life partner".

Many men tend to be confused when it comes to subtle dating approach but sometimes, women can be confused too.
