Homer says: http://web4.ehost-services.com/el2ton1/homer.gif We should listen to the doctors and scientists because they use big words. They went to school. DOH!

Come to think of it, that's why the masses listen to the priests.

Maybe we should think for ourselves.

A tumor has no potential for independent human life. A zygote does.

If you terminate a zygote, you terminate a potential human life.

The gulf between a tumor and a zygote is unfathomable.

There is a huge difference between a "potential human life"....and a "human life."

Glad to see you recognize that.

I think all embryos and zygotes should be given enough time to make the decision for themselves. How about 18 years or so?

That would be a real commitment to pro choice.

Now that you have had plenty of time to think about it, Frank, how do you feel about having been a zygote?

That's zyGOTE not GOAT. I've seen your avatar. Laughing

Well...the women hosting the zygote may not agree with you....and I think that should be their choice.

No it wouldn't. But you selectively blind people probably cannot see that.

Why do you want to impose your beliefs on another woman who wishes to terminate a pregnancy? There are plenty of living children you can be concerned about, but you aren't. That's one reason why your belief is hypocritical.

An oocyte also has the potential for human life, yet women recycle those on a regular basis.

As far as I know...Planned Parenthood does not have a vested dollar interest in keeping abortions legal and profitable.

Give it a rest, Frank. You are not that naive and neither is anyone else here.

Substantiate your assertion, real life; what vested financial interest does Planned Parenthood (an organization of which I am not particularly fond, BTW) have in "keepng abortions legal and profitable?" Actually, verifiably, have - I'm not interested in anecdotes and claims here; produce SEC and IRS filings.

Does PP give FREE abortions Timber? No.

You are not ignorant of this.

Whutinhell does what PP provides, free or otherwise, have to do with my challenge to you? I am not ignorant of the fact you have not addressed my specific request, which, to re-itterate, is what evidence demonstrating a vested financial interest can you produce? You have produced none. You spin, you opine, you preach, you parrot, you proselytize, you pontificate, you prevaricate, you obfuscate, you assiduously avoid meeting the specific challenge.

Yes I know. That is why you need to rethink this, Frank.

I have no reason to doubt Frank has thought and rethought the issue quite dilligently. Were there the slightest reason to harbor any suspicion whatsoever you've given the issue any rational thought whatsoever, I would suggest you rethink things. Not caring to issue a pointless challenge, I will not offer any such suggestion.

Hasn't stopped you before. Why should now be different?

If you have no reason to doubt that Frank has thought this thru, then perhaps you should read his post.

<timbersnip of a buncha irrelevant stuff>

Don't bother trying that torturous twist of logic. Even PP doesn't try to get away with it. Don't try this at home, folks.

I submit you are the one twisting things here - directly respond to my challenge. What vested PP financial interest in keeping abortion legal and profitable can be shown?

Yea? Is there a point?

We still murder teens who commit heinous crimes... Are you suggesting Frank that we give murdering teens an award or public notoriety?

What part of "Planned Parenthood charges money for abortions." do you not understand?

If it is such a big thing among Christians....why did Jesus never so much as mention it?
Jesus never mentioned the H-bomb, either. Or for that matter:
Cigarettes,
Crack cocaine,
Machine guns,
Etc., ad nauseum http://web4.ehost-services.com/el2ton1/puke1.gif

And your point was?

There were no H-bombs or cigarettes, crack cocaine, machine guns etc.

But there was abortion.

It is, after all, the second old profession....occasioned by the oldest.

Hippocrates, who lived in the same area as Jesus...and who lived only a short time before him....considered abortion to be objectionable....and included a prohibition against it in his Hippocratic Oath.

My point was....WHY DIDN'T JESUS MENTION IT??????

Jesus quoted the Ten Commandments. Among them is Thou shalt not kill, which He quoted.

How more specific do you want Him to get? Must He list all the possible means of killing,( Jesus to the crowd-- "let's see .....the spear, the sword, the knife, pushing off a cliff, running over with a chariot, poisoning, abortion, strangling, drowning......thou shalt not do any of these !" ) Do you really think Jesus has to spell it out for you, Frank? C'mon.
