Go 'way, Set...yer bothering me.

Now, Neo...let's just lift up that middle card and see if it is the Queen of Clubs...

...and...

...holy smokes...

...you were right.

You got it...first time.

Wow!

Well...since you are so good...I'll allow you one bet for the next try...but only for one dollar. I can see you are much too good at this to allow you to bet more. And doggone it...I am just about sure you are gonna be able to tell where the Queen ends up no matter how fast I move these three cards around.

Jeez, I can see that if we keep at this game for a while...you are gonna have all my money.

So...here goes.

Pay attention.

All medical breakthroughs are from the true God...

The devil cannot invent...

When we seek medical help we go to God with our minds clear and place our lives in God's hands... we do not limit God by our understanding but we let God speak to our hearts.

God has given us medical knowledge so we can live healthy lives...

When we turn our backs on medical help we are turning our backs on what God has made available to us in this day and time.

A doctor can set a broken bone back into place but it is God working within us who heals it...

Even a negative prayer will be answered if you positively believe in it and if it is within the scope of what is possible...

No. What I said was there is a study that shows prayer does not work. Even got 12 congregations to pray for over 300 cancer paitients, and their survival was no better than the 300 other cancer patients with no prayer.

You tried to wiggle out of that one, but you can't have your cake and eat it too!

Again, parlor tricks...

God ultimately decides where open ended prayers will go...

They go where there is the greatest need and where they will bring the greatest profit.

They go all over the world and are not directed at just say 300 people...

Most cancer patients can pray for themselves too... that will have a more immediate local response.

If people really want a reason to blame God they will find one...

Keep your feet on the ground, Rex. What are some of the things every sincere person in the world prays for?
Peace.
End of Crime.
Health.
Etc.
Why does God continue to permit these things?

These things will continue to plague us and the weak minded until the devil is no longer in our world and able to lead people from the love of Christ...

So, if these very important things are not appropriate for prayer, should we continue to pray for them?
And, what are appropriate subjects for prayer?

Here's a picture Lola took of me with Blatham...just two weeks ago.

I'm the one on the right...Blatham is on the left.

It is a bit dark...but if you look carefully...no wrinkles to speak of.

And I don't really look all that bad for a guy who will be 70 on his next birthday.

Jeez...you really got all worked up over the "Pat Robertson looks like he's trying to pass a football when he prays."

So maybe I shoulda used "baseball" instead. Yeah...a "football" was a bit much.

I note that there are a couple of threads started today that deal with the Rev. Christian Pat Robertson suggesting that we assassinate the president of Venezuela.

Yep...he is a wonderful Christian....and a guy who really does understand the god Jesus worshipped.

(Actually, there are wrinkles. Hell...I'm 69. But I thought I'd give this a try to see if Rex can calm down a bit. He sounded like steam escape valve is plugged again.)

You have no idea of how much I would love to get back out to California...and maybe join you for a cuppa at your local java joint.

Maybe...just maybe it will be later this year.

They are appropriate for prayer... prayer with positive believing...

Why pray for world peace when the devil is in the world and the world refuses to recognize the cause of their wars?

Prayer is for those who recognize that the battle has been won through the works of Jesus Christ. Prayer is for those who walk in the newness of life and people who recognize they are not powerless over spiritual tyranny.

People have been unchained and the doors to their prisons have been opened but if they choose to remain in their prison, then that is their own choice...

We have power over the devil but many are defeated because they have been overcome by their own fears, habit patterns and sin consciousness...

The wrinkles are in your brain... Smile

I don't know where you get the idea that Christians are wimps...

These terrorists regimes use tough words don't they?

Remember the crusades? We would all be part of the Persian empire if it was not for brave "Christians" that died to push back their swords...

I don't always agree with Pat but we will see in time if he was right or wrong... he speaks his mind... so do you...

I don't need to stoop to crap jokes to communicate a point.

In almost seventy years it is a shame you have not learned that yet...

I do respect your opinion Frank but not when you get that low...

I will pray for you...

Clean it up a bit if you expect "sane" reasoning people to seriously consider what you say...

Wasn't it Ari Fleischer that said in a press conference that a bullet aimed at Saddam could make the invasion of Iraq a bit easier?
