I'm sure he does (have a plan). You will find the non-crazy guy when you figure out the plan with sufficient completeness.

It isn't you... no one is responsible for the mental health of the people who they are dating.

Have you considered that maybe God is part of the problem? I have found that my relationships go much better when God is not in the middle of them.

Pls be aware that this crazy streak of these people is not your fault. As was mentioned wisely by others, you may need to try a different sort of guy...more accurately a different sort of selection process for a date-able man. All of this sounds simplistic and easy for me to say, but not so easy to do. It's a learning process.

Learning to create a different type of conversation that goes on as you get to know someone while dating possibilities are new and fresh. Be a bit more selective...and ask more questions...that show how motivated they are with educational or work/professional goals, how they have (and currently) deal/dealt with pressure, how their family relationships and friendships go....and the quality/depth of them... that sort of thing.

Take your time with this. Don't rush it. If you are in your early-20s, perhaps look for a slightly older..maybe 30- yr-old man. Generalities being what they are, You might have a more settled mature guy. Just a thought.

God, in this context is a sentient being that imposes His rules on people. I don't see how a relationship can be characterized in this way.
