@layman,
It's your lot, the idiots who voted Bush in twice. He set this whole **** train running. We never had any problems with Moslem terrorists in the UK before Dubya got elected.

Yeah, and the islamofacists didn't successfully (the key word here) try to kill 3,000+ US citizens on 9/11, until shortly after Dubya got elected either. Dubya made them do it, sho nuff!

President Barack Obama would have you believe, "This is an attack on all of humanity and the universal values that we share."

But he's flat, dead wrong. All of humanity does not share Western values, or the Paris attack wouldn't have happened.

http://www.usnews.com/opinion/blogs/world-report/2015/11/14/obama-is-dead-wrong-about-the-paris-attacks

D's do the very same mistake here in America, when they constantly claim that their values and agenda are America's values and agenda, completely dismissing anyone who does not share their opinion as stupid or damaged and thus their opinion does not matter. But The Professor was supposed to be smart enough to rise above the fantasists who so heavily populate the left, we thought we were getting a smart guy, only to find out that he is not only a prick but reality challenged as well.

Shame.

@layman,
Dubya's incompetence allowed it to happen. And it's not like America was playing a square bat with the Moslem world, supporting dictators, aiding and abetting the persecution of Palestinians and a CIA coup in Iran that overthrew a democratically elected regime.

"In general, we Europeans are all children of the Enlightenment. This is something to be defended," says Meerapfel's predecessor, the German caricaturist and graphic designer Klaus Staeck. "Woe to him who has the idea of cutting back there." German actor and director Hanns Zischler, for his part, believes that terrorists acting on pseudo-religious principles completely reject our freedom-based societal order and lack "the ability to accept that someone else might be different from myself. That simple fact must always be in our heads, our behavior and our life," said Zischler at the Academy

The "Migrants" from Africa/Mid East/Cent Asia are not children of the Enlightenment, more often than not they are hostile to the enlightenment. Also Europe has a horrible record on attempts to integrate newcomers. There is no reason for optimism here.

This is what the headline writer wrote:
Quote:
"Defend the Enlightenment," say culture organizers in reaction to terror
Horror, bewilderment, grief - after November 13, the world held its breath. Meanwhile, words are being found, and those active in the culture industry are expressing their determination not to react by changing.

The change has already been decided,it has already happened, letting in all of these people in. Once that change is done other changes will follow, as they must. Getting stubborn and not reacting to new conditions is a good way to advantage death. There seems to be a mass delusion in Europe that Europe is so great that all of these non Europeans are going to adopt European ways. Even in America, one of the best ever at integrations of new groups, one of the most successful multi cultural societies ever, has largely given up on the melting pot idea and gone to the rainbow idea, which has been a constant source of problems as each group competes against the others to gain advantage (See BLM) , and Europe has no institutional memory on doing any of this. Desire to be like America plus cheery thoughts alone are not going to get this done, and to this point that is all Europe has.

Emotions are running high right across the Murdoch media world.

Take a look at this event from political author Gearoid O Colmain's viewpoint, and remember that CNN was already at ground zero when the fireworks began.

France Strikes ISIS Targets in Syria in Retaliation for Attacks

President François Hollande, who vowed to be “unforgiving with the barbarians” of the Islamic State after the carnage in Paris, decided on the airstrikes in a meeting with his national security team on Saturday, officials said.

France bombed the Syrian city of Raqqa on Sunday night, its most aggressive strike against the Islamic State group it blames for killing 129 people in a string of terrorist attacks across Paris only two days before.

The French Defense Ministry said in a statement that the air raid, coordinated with American forces, was led by 12 French aircraft, including 10 fighter jets, and had destroyed two Islamic State targets in Raqqa, the radical group’s self-proclaimed capital.

The French airstrikes on Raqqa began at 7:50 p.m. Paris time, first taking aim at an Islamic State “command post, jihadist recruitment center and weapons and ammunition depot,” the Defense Ministry said. The second target, it said, was a “terrorist training camp.”

PARIS—President François Hollande said Wednesday he will increase France’s military spending and permanently dedicate 7,000 soldiers to homeland security to counter the threat of terrorist attacks.

Mr. Hollande said he would raise military spending over the next four years by €3.8 billion ($4.2 billion). He also pledged to safeguard the €31.4 billion of spending expected this year, laying to rest the possibility of using asset sales to finance the purchase of military equipment.

“This is a significant, considerable effort,” Mr. Hollande said.

A large share of the spending will go toward bolstering domestic security forces and for equipment that will help the army counter terror threats at home, he said.

The decision to pour more money into defense underscores the strain a heightened terror threat is putting on the country’s armed forces.

We can expect them to add even more money to the kitty.....If the Germans were smart they likewise would start adding back money that they have taken out of defense over the last two decades.

According to Pollack, the aim of the attacks was to separate Muslims from the general population, and from the democratic societies in the West. "The idea is to create a Muslim community that will turn against Europe," he explained. "It's vital that we don't allow ourselves to be drawn onto the opposing side."

Pure bullshit. I would love to hear the argument to back that up cause it must be a riot.

@bobsal u1553115,
We don't have a presidential system, the only people who could actually vote for Blair or Thatcher were their own constituents.

I voted for Blair for party leader and initially he did a damn good job, Kosovo, Sierra Leone, Northern Ireland, introduction of tax credits and massive investment in Education and Health.

After Bush came in it went downhill, and my MP, John Denham, the guy I could vote for resigned from the cabinet because of Iraq, so I still voted for him.

The Tories would have been even more supine than Blair.

But of course you can't explain what my 'stupidity' is.

You are only personal attacking me without any content or any argument.

That is saying something about your weakness isn't it?
