Oh, I got it, but I still think he might not show up until tomorrow. The cheese is giving him a huge headache, you see. I have Bushmill's and Black Bush. Would you like some Black Bush?

As the resident buffoon Gus, your contract with A2K states that you HAVE to go there.

Please proceed. I have some mix, and could make a stiff cocktail for you as well.

Hey Bill, love that hat.

I never knew of the existence of this thread, and now you're up to page #39.
Well I never.

Is there a place for a cantankerous old codger of a Scot here?

Thanks McT. You can pick one up for yourself (along with other necessities) HERE!

In that case, could I get a bottle of Château Latour Pauillac... 1990 if you have it?

That's not so bad Gus. I got a cold chill thinking you might have jacked my avatar for yourself again Shocked ... I'm getting goose bumps just thinking about it.

We do have it Bill. Sadly, it's not ready to drink yet, so get your head out of Wine Spectator and enjoy something else, perhaps a Chateau St. Georges from the same year? The higher percentage of Merlot in the blend allows for quicker aging.

*Sups a non-sickly-sweet sherry over by the bar, making an attempt to look modely shifty*

To paraphrase Wilde, 'we live in a world where cheeseheads are our only necessities.'

What used to be known as "heavy" in Scotland, or high-gravity beer, is known as "bitter" in England. Well it's not the same, but approximate.
I'll have a pint of that, please. The house ale. Thanks.

How are you all today? We've been out for a little drive in the car, and we bought a balloon.

Do you plan on traversing the world in eighty days, or was it just a plain balloon?

Millions Drom, millions. Watch your local listings for the Green Bay Packers, and you'll see thousands... regardless of where they're playing. It's not often you find usefulness and style woven so seamlessly into a single item. Perhaps the Discovery Channel should do a feature on "Modern Marvels". Idea

Ah, McTag, a full explanation has been posted (I blame Col Man), with the addition of a fine comment: A pub without a Scot is like a dog without a master. Much nicer, I think. A pint of our Best Bitter is coming up. I suggest a beer from Montreal, St. Ambroise, which has a nice hoppy flavour to it, and it is on the bitter side.

A helium-filled party balloon with "40" written on it. A lady who works with my wife has her birthday tomorrow, and they plan to surprise her- maybe she will be more than surprised. Maybe she planned to stay 39 for a few more years yet.
