You guys, behave yourselves! I suggest going to Original Writing to read BumbleBeeBoogies piece on Cranberry Pie, then stay to read all her work--she is a fabulous writer.
I want some of that pie right now!
Lola, I was speaking to the guys. You should never behave yourself--we both have way too much fun misbehaving!
BTW, BBB's poem is Ceylon Ruby Mine Pie.

Time to arrange transportation and lodging is growing short. After this week, arrangements may be difficult. C'mon, make the decision to come on down to Albuquerque for a few days. Join the laughter, the friendly reparte. You know deep in your bones that the whole affair hinges on your personal participation. Don't let the side down. Book your flight, or gas up the old landyaht, today. Rooms at the Howard Johnsons on Pan American are only a mouse click away.

Here it is Saturday with one weekend left to go.

Shall we make arrangements to cater a New Mexican dinner at Corazon on Saturday the 24th? In the expectation that most of that day will be spent here, perhaps we should also make arrangement for a more substantial lunch than "finger foods". Do those of you arriving during the early evening of Friday the 23rd want to have dinner at the County Line around 8-8:30? That should give us a nice sunset view with a fine dinner as the city lights come on. Individual tabs should be modest.

Craven,
It's not too late. Flying into ABQ is neither difficult, nor expensive. I think everyone is staying at the Howard Johnsons on Pan American, and the rate is less than $40/night.

Asherman, County Line sounds great, especially with the view.
Craven, too bad money is short. The airlines are offering very good rates.

waaahahahahaaaaa, I wanna go. Sigh. What are you all going to do? Will you go to the mal pais? The petroglyphs? Cochiti? Take the trip up to the top of Sandia? Is it hot-air balloon time? Please try to make the trip to Madrid and Santa Fe!

I think the hot air balloon thing is in October. Just for fun, someone might just check the room rates at that time.
