A friend of mine, an accountant, was doing some volunteer work with me and happened to utter a four-letter word. I must have glanced over at her because she explained, "Don't worry, that's an official accounting term."

They're all official accounting terms.....

Especially on the first day of the month, at about 9 p.m., after too much coffee, too many journal entries.....and thirteen cents off.....

Rae, Those .13c errors are easy to find. Try finding that .01c or $1., and you'll spend enough time to put a penny or a buck in the tiller by yourself. LOL c.i.

You're right, c.i. Unfortunately, I'll work a problem to death (on my own time) just cuz I'm anal.

"Innovative, proactive accountancy, designed to maximize apparent viability of ongoing management style, and to effectively exploit legislative ambiguities in a positve manner, while obscuring negative indications and calming the regulatory and investment communities," I believe it is called today.
