(I have never been in the military - so this post is not here...what effect does the civvy job have on your educational goals? Or, have they become irrelevant? Oh - did I say WOW!!!!?)

I was supposed to sign up at 8 Am today, I promised my cousin (who is the dovey sort and worried that I'll be sent to war for some reason) that I'd give this job offer a shot.

I'm typing from my office, I started at 12:25 PM today in my dream job.

I'm the webmaster of a startup health products company and will do everything they need with computers. I have to help make processes for inventory tracking but hey I get my dream job and a laptop.

As to education the company will pay for any courses related to the fields I will work in and the rest I'll happily pay for on my own.

I'm stoked, I got this job and I didn't even bring a CV.

Thanks all, I gotta thank my cousin. See she was another annoying little peacenik but her proximity made it harder for me to ignore her. I told her I'm going to the military unless I get a job that fulfills my criteria and got the job (in her building) in the nick of time.

I guess doves have some worth to society. :-)

"F1" is a real important key in most Accounting Programs.

Congratulations on the new laptop. That's great news!. Oh, yeah, and good luck with that job thing, too.

Job? Oh yeah. I'll have to do that in my spare time.

Since my job involves the design of a website it's more fun than work. Gotta love my luck today.

Ahh BTW the members here played a part. This was one of the sites I showed as an example. Bossman took a look at some of the tech questions that were answered and was impressed.

Thanks timber and JerryR (the people who answered the 2 topics he looked at).

Gotta go home, I MIGHT log on from there but after DSL I dread dialup.

I use Peachtree, Craven, but can probably help with many of the accounting issues you run into.
