I did a little research on Crusader Rabbit. It does appear that he preceded Rocky. Check it out:

If you scroll down to that bottom of the page, you'll see early versions of Rocky and Bullwinkle. Too cool!

yeppers "like it is" or was anyway. I had a friend once who flew over the grand canyon and came to the local high school to give an informative lecture on the flora and fauna of the area, it was interesting but what we would call "airplane analysis" (she did give a thoughtful critique of the view from over the wing though)
