Hi,

This might seem dumb but i'm new to the whole translation thing.

I'd like to know how to say I Love You in Russian, as my girlfriend was born there and she speaks it fluently with her parents.

I've scanned the forums and so far theres been 4 different ways.

ya vas iyublyu

ya tibia lyublyu

Ya lublju tebya

Я ТЕБЯ ЛЮБЛЮ
Ia tibia lioubliou (phonetic)

The last one seems to have crediblitlity coz its not written in english.
But I'd like to make sure I get it right, coz she will know if its wrong:(
I'd also like to say it right, so tell me if i'm wrong in pronouncing it:

ee-ya ti-bi-ya li-oh-bli-oh

???

Thank you in advance.
Kenny.

You can say "I love you" both ways as it's reversible.

я люблю тебя

я тебя люблю

For the pronunciation, check this :

cyrillic alphabet

In maori: au aroha koe
It has a couple of more ways to say it but that's the most common one used.

You know, "ai wo shiteiru" is being a *bit* too formal (for me, I mean. I'm like 13.) I'd rather use:

watashi/ boku (depends, boy or girl. I'd use watashi) wa anata ga suki desu.

or...

watashi/ boku wa anata ga daisuki (reely love) desu.

私はあなたが好きです。 I luv when i get to type Japanese somewhere. ^_^

I saw this in a previous post:
Bahasa Indonesia: Saja kasih saudari
It should have been:
Bahasa Indonesia: Saya cinta kamu

hm, considering fact that list is wrong for all Balkan countries except for Macedonia, it's quite doubtfull what is accuracy of rest of the list Wink

So, croatian...serbian...and sometimes called serbo-croatian (there is no language as Yugoslav) is "volim te" and not "ljubim te".

slovene is "rada te mam", and not "ljubim te".

I love you in Macedonian
I've always been told that "Yaska ti loobam tebe" is I love you in Macedonian. My Fathers mum is Macedonian and she's been teaching me a bit of Macedonian for 3 years.

Ti Sakam = I want you
Yaska ti loobam tebe = I love you

Im not sure about the spelling but Im very certain about the actual meaning.
