@Ticomaya,
Well, I did end up in 2nd place, so I wasn't that far off, really.

WTF is going on with our waivers? They should have cleared this morning, but now the date is the 24th. Our waiver setup ******* sucks, one way or the other...

@Cycloptichorn,
I just went to the Player list to look at available players.
On the first page the players on waivers were
Yeldon 24, dropped on 21
E Manning 26, dropped on 23
Wallace 24, dropped on 21
Johnson 25, dropped on 22
Daniels 24, dropped on 21

Since our waiver period is 2 days, this seems consistent to me.

@George,
I got the "dropped" dates from the Transactions Page.

@George,
I guess that makes sense. I'd rather see a system where all waivers clear on Wed. no matter when they were dropped, but this will work too, just didn't understand what was going on

Cheers

@George,
My memory, which can be iffy at times but I don't think on this one, is that waivers have been three days since I've been playing, that is, forever and a day....

which waivers can seem like.

Hobbling Stafford, Lombardi, have the city on their backs.
Nineteen ninety four, monday night, Lions beat Dallas. No, I am not grasping.

Robbed by the Refs in Seattle - again! I lost my game the last time this happened, too, during the referee strike. What is it about that corner of that endzone?

Sheesh

@Cycloptichorn,
Weird. I can see the player might not have known x rule from page y in the rule book, but the ref should have picked it up, and whether or not the player's batting it was intentional is irrelevant. I agree with Arians about every play being reviewable. I suppose there are consequences to that, re time consumed/length of game.

@ossobuco,
I think ever turnover, or potential turnover, should be reviewable.

I had an apple turnover and I'd give it a B-.

Yeah, it was really weird that they didn't spend much time reviewing the play. The next play went off literally two minutes later, but in other cases they spend ten damn minutes looking at the tape...

Oh well better luck this week

Cheers

I notice that under my user name, Desert Dogs, is the word Hidden.

What button did I push to deserve that? How can I undo it?

edit - now it seems to be gone. I saw it about four times. Huh..

Good riddance, in any case.

Week 16

Ticomaniacs, 8-6
Weekly Grade: A
135.7

CycloTeam, 9-5
Weekly Grade: A-
134.54

Down 8.24 on Monday night, Ticomaniacs came back to edge CycloTeam 135.70 to 134.54. Ticomaniacs benefited from 28.30 points from Julio Jones and 22.10 from Latavius Murray. Like Kevin Dyson getting tackled at the one-yard line in Super Bowl XXXIV, CycloTeam fell just short, suffering a 1.16-point loss to Ticomaniacs in the playoffs. Someone check the temperature of Ticomaniacs. They've been on fire, winning their last four matchups in a row. This close call was sweeter than most, serving as revenge for a Week 9 156.76 to 111.64 comeback by CycloTeam. CycloTeam concluded the regular season in third place with a record of 9-5. From a points per game perspective, they ranked slightly better (second with 123.36). In their only other postseason game of the season, CycloTeam beat Pooch Punt, 157.98 to 117.70.

If the Denver kicker doesn't shank the field goal at the end of regulation, the game is over and I would have lost to Cyclops. Amazingly, he booted it wide left, and the game went into overtime. And even so, Demaryius Thomas only caught 2 more passes in OT, and his last catch put me over top (barely).

And just to illustrate the narrowness of my victory, this from the Game Recap:

Quote:
*The margin of victory of 1.16 points was the smallest in the league this season.

And not that he needed it pointed out, but ...

Quote:
*Hey, I'm sure Ticomaniacs appreciates the tough competition. In the loss, CycloTeam had the third-highest losing score in the league this season with 134.54 points.
