@McGentrix,
As far as I can tell, no one has specifically requested a category yet.

@George,
Not necessarily. I'd say pick a date and time and let's stick with it. I'll try to make the live draft if I can.

In that case, let me be the first to officially vote: I'd like to see .5 PPR and .1 per completed pass and run attempt.

In terms of fantasy value, this adds value to high-volume, bellcow running backs; to pass-heavy QBs; and to possession receivers. This makes these positions less touchdown dependent and, in my opinion, more accurately reflects the value these players add to the team; a consistent chain mover is just as valuable (if not more) to your team as an anytime TD-threat.

Cheers

I'll pass this on to the commish.
We'll perform the updates this weekend.

If anyone objects, speak up soon.

Rhys and I can't figure out which Yahoo! category would be "completed pass and run attempt."
Please look at this and let us know,

@George,
Passing would be "Completions" rushing would be "Rushing attempts"

If we are doing this I need to know because it will change my draft order around a bit.

@McGentrix,
I assume it will change my draft order, though I'm not done with that yet anyway.
I'll have to figure out what Cyclo said though so I don't somehow change it in the wrong direction.

@ossobuco,
We become a PPR (points per reception) league instead of a traditional league. It changes the weight of receivers v. running backs and makes some receivers that would be a lower tier in our regular league worth more in a PPR league.

Thanks, McG. I had thought it was one category instead of two. Duh.

Yeah, we are putting these in at Cyclo's request, unless there are objections.
For my part, I don't care one way or the other.

Whoops, missed a bunch of discussion here while I was camping this weekend. Yes, McG is correct in the settings.

I think y'all will enjoy the new scoring, it adds a bit of excitement into the game and the totals go up slightly. To anyone wondering about it, possession receivers and RBs who catch balls out of the backfield become more valuable; high-volume RBs and QBs become slightly more valuable.

Cheers all,
Cyclo

@George,
Not too long now, eh?

I've picked my usual odd sort of choices, almost done. Of course, I'll keep dithering a bit.

@ossobuco,
Just remember, pick kickers and defense early.
And often.

@George,
Righto!

Ah, I was going for a last shot but the league is not in pre-draft mode, madam..

As usual, I'm using automated draft, me with my browser that cannot be updated.
In a way, it's easier, after I tear around and rearrange the list. This way I get to eat dinner and loll about waiting to see my team.

Have fun, you Stantons.

Good luck all. I've got an old school draft at someone's house tomorrow. This league has individual defensive players. It's gonna be a long night

The live draft was a gas, as usual.
Alex went for Stafford with his first pick.
Another sacred tradition continues.

In the closing rounds of last night's draft I picked up two Patriots, Jonas Gray
and Reggie Wayne. Why not, right?

I just opened my Sunday Globe sports section and see the headline
Patriots cut Wayne, Gray

Back to the old drawing board.
