Perhaps not all of them, but some - such as the .5 or 1-point PPR - most certainly are.

@George,
Don't hold me to this just yet, I will go back and see if I can dig a little deeper.

Cyclo was correct. Yahoo does have the categories he is requesting. I was
looking in the wrong place. Rhys found them for me last night.

Here are the full list of possible categories. Please examine them and make suggestions. We need to resolve this before the draft (Sat. Aug 29). If you
don't care, say so. If you don't want changes, say so. As of this moment, we
are using last year's defaults (see my earlier post).

@George,
The offense bonus points have "number of yards" and "points" to be specified.
You can't see that on the chart above.

@George,
Cool. My only caution would be that we should phase in changes slowly - it's easy to go REAL crazy and pick lots of new scoring categories, but that makes it almost impossible to actually understand players' true draft values. So, if people did want a rule change, we might want to add in a .5 PPR or bonus points for 100+ yd games, but not both.

Cheers

@Cycloptichorn,
Sounds good to me. On another note, is the draft THIS Saturday? Holy crap! That snuck up.

Tico, it's Sept 5th..

On the possible changes, I don't care, or at least I think I don't. I'm not in this game for intricracy, have enough going on in my life.. and am mildly adverse to more of it.

Also, I've no idea if ESPN would let me in.

@alex240101,
Yes you did state it aloud. I'd shiver, but it's too hot here now.

I'll raise you a meal if we ever meet.

Right now it's August 29, but realJohnBoy and McGentrix have requested
a week later (Sept 5). If no one objects, the Commish will make the change
tomorrow night.

@George,
Geez, I hope so, or I'm out of it. Maybe not a bad thing for others..
I thought you posted Sept 5 a while ago.

I asked for suggestions, saying I would vote for Sept 5.
That suggestion was met with silence.

@George,
This has happened before ... Labor Day weekend is the time for a soccer tournament, that we tend to play in. So I may or may not be available for the live draft, and I honestly think it would not matter much in terms of the quality of my team, whether I live drafted or not.

@George,
Interesting article on acl tears and similar (and often non contact) injuries -

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2555624-preseason-acl-injures-can-be-drastically-reduced-heres-how

I remember that Sozobe mentioned a similar training process something like six years ago, relative to teen girls getting a large number of acl (I think it was) tears.
This time, the author has a company to push monitors for the athletes, but many of the teams who are using those aren't training as well as they could for various reasons that he explains (much more about that in the article).
Worth a read, to me.

Changing to a PPR (points per reception) changes a lot of the draft as does a lot of the other things. Changes the weights of some positions as well. I am open to changes but as mentioned, slowly.
