@Frank Apisa,
Note the Southampton flags. We're playing Vitesse Arnhem in the Europa league tonight. We've been out of European football for a very long time. This is the second leg and we enter it with a score of 3-0, so it will take a lot for us not to go through to the play offs.

@izzythepush,
Good luck, Izzy.

Our football season is about to begin. My favorite team is not looking great.

May be a long season for me.

@Frank Apisa,
Thank you, there's talk of West Ham fielding a weaker side so their best players will be fresh for the premiership on Sunday. Our manager is having none of it, despite the three goal advantage they're going hell for leather to win the game.

I miss the days when every club kicked off at 3pm on a Saturday. I'm a spurs fan with a secret crush on Southampton, I'll be cheering them both on this season. United opener suggests a tough weekend ahead.

@Smileyrius,
We beat Vitesse last night 0-2 in the Europa League. West Ham got kicked out. And they won't beat Arsenal on Sunday.

@izzythepush,
I also have a feeling West ham will take a while to get used to Bilic's style, he and Big Sam are not alike at all.
I think Arsenal will step it up this year and actually challenge Chelski

@Smileyrius,
I don't know why they got rid of Sam, under him they were punching above their weight.

@izzythepush,
and yet the fans didn't appreciate him. You gotta give that man credit, he knows what he is doing.

Guys.
Could you speak more clearly?
I have no idea who you talking about?
I don't imagine Frank knows either.

@neologist,
Well you need to learn if you want to talk to anyone from the rest of the world about anything that matters.

Big Sam was West Ham's manager, he was replaced by Bilic. Both Smiley and myself think that was a bad move for the Hammers.

Australia have already lost another wicket. It looks like they'll be losing the Ashes with England not even having to bat for a second innings.

They be talkin' football.

Crazy "rest of the world" actually use their feet in their kind of football.

Having a good time...and I love hearing it.

That last post by Izzy ought to be awarded a Pulitzer for Internet talk.

@Frank Apisa,
That sort of talk Frank was around long before the internet. England have won the 4th Test by 78 runs and an innings.

This bit you should get. The ashes is a cricketing trophy between Australia and England. There are five tests. England have won three and Australia one. That means England have won. It also means that the fifth teat will still be played. (I fully expect Australia to thrash England.)

Not looking good, Man U are a goal up, and due to the fact that no other games will be played until 3pm, if the score stays the same Man U will be top of the premiership, and Spurs at the bottom. (For about half an hour or so.)

Here, in Seattle, the concern is if Bam Bam Kam will continue his contract holdout.
Legion of Boom needs its enforcer.

@izzythepush,
Oops, on my part.

You switched from your earlier talk about football...to cricket. I musta been distracted when that happened.

Actually, we get to see lots of cricket here in central New Jersey.

Lots and lots of recent immigrants from India...who love to set out on Sundays for the fields...all dressed in white with pullovers.

No it doesn't. I've tried.

But it attracts me like a moth to a flame!

The sheer drama of nothing happening in a game...the anticipation that something might!
