There was a Merry Andrew sighting on Facebook today. He posted an inquiry as to whether the Boston Gay Men's Chorus had returned safely from their trip to Greece.
Update for Andy Mikelsons. He is now on a 3-day morphine patch, refuses all food but is still intaking fluids. Thank God for the 34 years I have in AA - it is really is helping me cope. He has been so brave. I spoke to a local mortuary today and made arrangments to have him cremated. He has made a specific request for his ashes to be spread at Kilauea Crater with a non-host luncheon at the Volcano House (our favorite restuarant)
Every time I see this thread has a new post, I cringe.
Helpless . . .
But hoping nevertheless. . .

@edgarblythe,
Andy has been a wonderful companion on these boards and he is already keenly missed. I wish him peace as he ends his earthly journey.

@edgarblythe,
This is hard to read but also a comfort re his bravery, his coping, his wishes. And Faith, you are dear to us too. Peace to you, Andy, and peace to Faith.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks Edgar and Faith for passing this news along.
Reg, if you haven't done so, please post this photo on his Facebook page. He is still posting on occasion and would enjoy seeing this.

heart breaking..
but I am happy that he is being kept pain free, and hopefully sedated enough that he no longer lives in embarrassment due to his state of health which was a big issue to him.
I hope he lived a full, happy life and that the regrets he had were very very few.

Well, Penny was a bit of a lush! Talk about conduct unbecoming! Even a stuffed animal should have some standards.
