Gathering in Florida?

Folks, at 245 Lbs and short, I hope I don't focus on food; for that matter, I seldom drink more than one beer. Guess I will drive the car. Who's going to give directions?

Mapleleaf, I think we should rule out bidD and Roger--who knows where they'll lead us?

Today was near 80% on the beach here in Ponte Vedra Beach. Our dog was loving it, barking at the seagulls and spooking when a balloon rolled down the beach. There is an old log that washed up long ago, where he 'logs on' and many other sites where he leaves and picks up 'pee mail' as part of his daily ritual.

Less than a month! Wheeeee!

Roger ~ bacon and cheeseburgers are a match made in heaven! (pssst.....bigdice and urs will be here the whole time you're here. remember, you switched weekends because of that fact.....)

Phoenix ~ my bedroom window views the rear of 'The Bamboo Panda' ~ a Chinese restaurant that's been in Cocoa Beach for as long as I can remember. Their food is pretty good.

P. S. I've pm'd everyone who has requested a room at my hotel with their confirmation numbers.

Roger, "blackened" means very HOT!! As in seasoned HOT! Don't make the same mistake I did years ago, thinking it was like char grilled, yikes I almost choked!!!

Phoenix, The Bamboo Panda is very good, nice atmosphere, great service!

BD: I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but FatBoys in Titusville is just not a place you all would enjoy. Been there, done that! But! If you're really curious, I'm game.

There's another restaurant I think you all might enjoy, it's out on the Cocoa Beach Pier, 800 ft. out into the atlantic ocean which is beautiful to sit and watch too. There's a bar (several of them) on deck with live music that's always jumping. There's a casual restaurant and a fancy one, so whichever pleases you at the moment

Can I extend for the 6th? I will need more than one day to yak!!!!

Ok, so we will YAK, but that tends to make me thirsty... and watching the rolling sea makes me hungry... Damn, I'm miss that ocean here, the next one from this little town is like 500 mls away, in almost any direction...

Thank you, Mapleleaf! Well, what can I say. He had really long hair and this cute accent. And he was very entertaining whenever I sat at exactly that place at the bar having capucchino or spaghetti. And then he invited me to this fabulous dinner. I was hooked!

Our first vacation brought as all the way to Daytona. And now - six years later - we will go to Florida again! And meet all you guys. And since we have a five hour layover in Atlanta we will even see my brother and my niece at the Atlanta airport! He lives in Norcross, Mapleleaf.
