As Max suggested, I won't ask you to say something positive about someone like Dick Cheney or W.

Cheney would be a challenge, but I've already said something positive about W.

Regarding voting: I have considered what I'll do, and I ultimately decided not to trouble myself with hypotheticals. It's a waste of good energy.

All due respect but that's kind of weak, Lash. It would make sense about not wasting energy if there was a lot of mental gymnastics involved, but this hypothetical is about as simple as they come - namely, if it comes down to Hillary or a Republican, would you vote for her? I think you can't bring yourself to admit it would make more sense to vote for a Democrat you hate than a Republican who hates women, immigrants, progress, equality, clean energy, education and freedom.

I'm pretty sure it will be more moot than hot copy to me by then, but suit yourself.

I wont read anything lash posts about Hillery and Bernie because I know her "Hillery is a bitch and Bernie is a God" rhetoric is all she is capable of.

Typical condemnation and closed mindedness that I see from people all the time. It is annoying how stupid my peers often are. Where is the empathy? Where is the understanding that we are all imperfect beings? Where is the trying to be a better person?

Empathy is supposed to go both ways, you can't insist on it from other people but refuse to give any yourself.

Your stupidity is beyond annoying, it's tedious like a drone in the background. Life is too short to listen to idiots repeating themselves over and over again. Despite your massive sense of entitlement you're not owed anything.

If you want people to engage positively with yours' and Lash's posts try writing something interesting for once.

@hawkeye10,
Did you get a teenage girl to write that response? It's a lot better than your usual bollocks.

I very rarely listen to your nonsense. I was just confirming the validity of Rab's post. And because you couldn't argue against it you accuse me of being upset by what you post. Not at all, they're often quite amusing, not boo hoo, but ha ha.

Just try posting something that's not inanely stupid for once. Give it a go!

@izzythepush,
In a thread that is about Bernie Sanders, Izzy hasn't said a single thing about Bernie Sanders. Did Izzy come to this thread just to yell at Hawkeye? (I find that a little amusing.)

I have no time for liars, sad pathetic liars at that.

You know I love you Izzy, able2know would be so much less fun without you (and yes, I know you still peek at my posts).

I only ask that if you come into a Bernie thread to abuse people... at least say something about Bernie, ok?

Make college free for all

Berine Sanders, in his Washinton Post opinion piece, wrote:
In 1877, Rutherford B. Hayes became the first president to make a strong case for universally available public education. “Universal suffrage should rest upon universal education,” he said in his inaugural address, adding that “liberal and permanent provision should be made for the support of free schools.” Hayes, a Republican, didn’t worry that some poor kid might benefit from access to “free stuff,” nor did he believe that the children of wealthy elites should be excluded from the universal nature of the program. For him, education was the basis for full economic and political participation, and full participation was the basis for all prosperity. An education should be available to all regardless of anyone’s station.

@InfraBlue,
It is a nice dream, but it would take a lot of dedicated hard work to make it happen, starting with getting enough democrats in congress. These days it is not enough to have a good viable idea, you have to make it happen. In today's congress and a lot of today's republican governors, I can't see it happening.

It must be the case that you perceive yourself to be gaining some benefit from your unending provocations. Because I can't imagine that you think you're making any contribution of value to anyone else.

@snood,
Provocations? Snood.

Izzy's posts are among the most abusive there are on Able2know, most of the time his abuse is aimed at people who have done nothing but disagree with him.

This is a thread about Bernie Sanders. As of yet, Izzy has said absolutely nothing about, or even marginally related to, Bernie Sanders. He is here for no other reason but to abuse other members he doesn't like.

If we could hear the opinion that Izzy has about Bernie's candidacy, then the abuse would be a little more tolerable. (I am actually curious about Izzy's stance on Bernie).

I have given my opinions on Bernie's candidacy. If that is seen as a provocation, then sorry.

I find pondering on your part over Izzy and Hawkeye's "relationship" a little creepy.

Secondly, when did staying on topic mean anything here on a2k?

@bobsal u1553115,
Generally people at least show some interest on the topic before straying off topic. And the straying off topic isn't the issue. It is the abuse.

Izzy came to this thread for no other reason than to insult other members, calling them "idiot" or "sad pathetic liar". That is all he has done here. He has not showed even the slightest interest in the topic of Bernie Sanders.

I don't like this type of bullying behavior. That is why I point it out and stand up to it.

@snood,
I guess my opinion of Hillary is in league with yours about Cheney, and no. It is not a simple cut and dried choice. I have many more than one of two options available. I know you and the peanut gallery think a vote for anyone other than the Democrat is a vote for the GOP.

I disagree. I want the so-called Democrat party to change - as do many others.

I despise the corporate ownership of the whole political process, and fighting it is important enough to me to write in Sanders or vote green or indie (my party anyway).

I'm not giving up what's important to me. It's my vote and I'm using it to forward what I think is right.

That being said - I haven't decided what I'm going to do. Neither have the massive amount of Republicans or other Indies who are willing to vote for Bernie but not Hillary.
