At the beginning of this election, I had respect for Bernie Sanders even though I wasn't going to vote for him. He has lost all my respect. Like other reasonable people have said, he is buying into his own hype and shedding his integrity just as fast as he can. Personally I can't wait till he looses and he will lose, it is just a matter of time.

Top aide: Sanders hopes to win nomination at convention

The super delegates are not going to change their minds even if by some off chance Hillary does not get the 2,283 delegates needed to cinch the nomination.

I think the Bernie camp is engaging in political propaganda while the Hillary camp is just keeping their nose to the grindstone and concentrating on winning.

Let us not forget that even someone who you may think is a fool uses this same way of thinking, " the fool thinks to himself, if someone shares my views he too is wise and reasonable.

I never claimed the pope to be perfect but Bernie has been on the right side of the gay issue historically.

@reasoning logic,
Perhaps so, I am just wondering if he is going to bring up the Pope's latest statements concerning gay marriage or if he will stick to the same tired lines he trots out time and again. This pope is popular, his words make a difference. The gay marriage issue is important as well, I imagine, the gay community might be watching to see if he mentions the issue to Pope Francis while he is there. Or else they should be given all fairness.

@revelette2,
I bet Bernie respects the separation of church and state; more so, a totally different state, and wouldn't presume to school the pope on his sacred milieu.

This issue is very important to me as are many other issues. This issue may weigh heavier for you than many others so I would recommend to you and others to ask kindly of the Bernie campaign to bring up this issue while he is at the Vatican.

@revelette2,
Hillarybots just spew crap.

The Bernie Blackout finally became a national story after the grassroots supporters swept social media with information about him. The blackout was an intentional ploy to allow Hillary's name recognition to take her to the presidency by suppressing voters' ability to hear about her rival.

Anyone who tries to say that's not true is just stupid or a liar.

Edit: Nah. Just a liar.

Is this your way of saying social media doesn't give the same unfair advantage as big media groups to their politicians?

@Lash,
It's funny how multiple stories on Bernie are not stories in your mind.

The Bernie Blackout seems to have spawned hundreds of stories about Bernie. I guess the only blackout is you not seeing them.

@Lash,
Sacred milieu? Do you talk this way in real life?

Bernie as a US presidential candidate is clearly "state", he is invited to speak(?) at the Vatican by the Pope which represents the "church." So Pope Francis himself has cleared the barrier between Church and State by inviting a US senator and a US presidential candidate to the Vatican. The pope just delivered this document dealing with family life. It was long anticipated by many and disappointed quite a few. If Bernie Sanders is serious about gay marital rights, then he should bring up this hot topic which was just revealed in the document the Pope released to the public.

Quote:
But he was crystal clear on one point: his rejection of same-sex marriage, a fact that sowed disappointment in a community that once welcomed his declarations not to “judge.”

“In this document, Pope Francis has continued the characterization of LGBT people as unable to fully reflect the fullness of God’s plan for humanity,” Marianne Duddy-Burke, executive director of the nonprofit group DignityUSA, said in a statement. “We had hoped for much more, and many, many people are profoundly disappointed today.”
