Of course it does. Everybody knows that.
Why the need to say it when it's so obvious?

Sometimes what seems obvious to one person may not be to the next.
Aint it the truth?

Possibly; the newspapers use it a lot.
How come you have so much time on your hands you can waste a beautiful day on this?

That's the main reason for playing you gump.
Deep lives are a bit sinister don't you think? And somewhat tiresome.
How could you expect to meet anything but shallowness on a Trivia thread?

Are you inferring that some 70,000 members of A2K have shallow lives Spebdius?

I was referring to Trivia or had you not noticed. There are some very deep conversations on the more intellectual threads. Some of them are so deep they must be bottomless.
We revel here in our shallowness. We are not bottomless.
Don't you think you ought move in those circles to which you are best fitted?

Certainly, that is why I try to discourage you from making a 'bloody fool' of yourself with the intellectuals, don't you wish you knew more?

I think "We revel here in our shallowness" is a bit general, don't you think?

It was intended to be a bit general Mame.
I was making a specific exception in your case but I forgot to mention it?
You will accept my apologies won't you?

You make me laugh, spendi, about me being the exception, but in the face of such chilvary, how can I say no?
Is it true you are still organizing Mathos' party?

Hi Mame, are you alright? Nice to see you
Spendius must think we are all inferior, and he is 'Lord of the threads' is that normal do you think?

Most certainly not.
The very idea is stupid.
I seek the Lady of the Threads who is in disguise.
She isn't like Ayesha who used a beacon to draw men into her clutches. She is subtle and all the more dangerous, which is saying something.
What's all this about me organising your party?

Well your appointed organiser Spendius, if you make a really good job of it, I think you should be in charge of the English gathering in Oswaldtwistle at a later date of your choosing.
I have every faith in you making a better gathering than the Chicago mob did, and the members will be able to dine on decent English fayre don't you think?

As long as he gets the fish and chips on the menu, everybody will be happy don't you think?
