There might be.
Do you want to change the electrical distribution system?

You might want to see how powerful girlpower really is.
Do you know anything about fixing microwave ovens?

Yeah. You sling them in the bin and go and get a new one. If you can't afford to do that you have been spending your money unwisely. It isn't as if they are expensive is it? I gather £50 gets a decent kit so that's about a meal for two (once eaten soon forgeeten) or a mumbai knick-knack. It's a question of priorities.
I know how powerful girl power is.
Do you know how powerful girl power is in actuality rather than in the abstract?

You should do, but one is never sure about power until one tries exercising it.
Am I right to have bought a new microwave for £55 from Amazon, or will it turn out to be a book about them?

It wouldn't be my method. I would go to the nearest shop and get one.
If it turns out a book it will be a significant piece of evidence that my method is superior and with the added advantage of being up and running as quick as a ladder runs up a silk stocking on a lady picking up a sack of cement.
It could be a book that changed your life though couldn't it and a microwave is unlikely to do that?
Are you having to learn to cook?

My nearest shop that sells microwaves is 8 miles away and there's not much parking. Whereas Amazon is a few seconds away and no parking necessary. I can cook, but am tired of washing up saucepans that have heated up coffee instead of just microblasting the mugful.
Do you cook?

I most certainly wouldn't.
But I'll refrain from asking you about it because I know there's a fair chance of inspiring a long diatribe about how tough you are which some of us might believe to be all made up.
Isn't that sensible?
