What is wrong with Jupiter? It's the biggest, and it rules the astrological signs of Sagittarius and Pisces. It stands mainly for all that is JOVIAL in man, and that's why I live here.

Which planet should you be on?

Sorry-I was answering Cal's redwine thingy and I was concentrating so hard to get every word right that I failed to notice how busy you had all been and lets see-

Why Jupiter,She enquired in her usual no nonsense style.

Why not?

No, I don't really like beer, and don't drink much alcohol
at all.

I have no idea about Sagittarius and Pieces and astrological
signs in general. I don't think I'd like to live on any other
planet but earth, especially since I live in paradise.
Life has been happening.

Puh, answered all questions!

Don't you agree that you spendius and you Pen is sound
quite alike?

No.We each have our own trademarks. His are fairly new and mine are well known and absolutely unchangeable at this stage. But we sound so far alike in that we are both blokes, both watch football, both booze and both bet.If he has a wife he must have her under at least partial control.

Women do need controlling a bit don't you think?

(Need I remind you about soakie-soakies?)

Women are perfectly capable of controlling themselves,
much better than men, I might add.

You both watch football, both booze, both bet? How do you know all these things about Pen is?

Happy bubble!

Welcome to A2K The Pen is.

Excuse me lower case submissive spendius the low life Yorkshire cur and ale house sot! I am not Pen at all. I note the gentleman is analysing your status rather accurately though!

The issue or point of fact once again spendius is your disdainful arrogance coupled with numerous of your hocus pocus theories which you tend to supplicate without depressing the clutch pedal are quite obnoxious to the innocent parties on the receiving end.

Your childlike meanderings and unsubstantiated lack lustre accusations put me in mind of a book written by 'Francis Wheen.'

"How Mumbo-Jumbo conquered the world"

A brief history in modern delusion.

Somewhat akin to Freuds lunatic based suppositories which a tyke or a mongolian yak watcher would bend over for in double quick time, for they have no more basis in reality than the worship of Osiris.

It is indeed a sad reflection on poor education and gullibility. Liberalism for oicks such as yourself is a mental disorder.

I trust I have made my feeling regarding your improper suggestions perfectly clear to you!

You're just exercising your fluster-dudgeon Mathos.

I detected in more than one of Pen's word formations a certain something which is indescribable.I thought "I've sniffed that aroma before" and you were the first to spring to mind.It may just be a coincidence.I don't suppose it's unique. If I am wrong I apologise.I'll still bet a dollar though.

Have you noticed that Cal has graced us with a fragrant return?

Yes I have noticed and it is nice to see her.

However, I am still annoyed at your suggestion that I am The Pen is, not that there is anything wrong with the newcomer to A2K,he comes across as a sensible 'chappie.'

I accept your wager Spendius, but 'a dollar' make it interesting old boy, a £1000..00 wager is more to my liking on this one especially. However, if you are afraid to put your money were your extended mouth is, I will accept your apology with candour!

In his eye-popper (feigned) Mathos failed to ask a question but that's easy done when you're pretending to be indignant. It is impossible to bet with fellow A2Kers for sound technical reasons. It was a figure of speech.Anyway-one oughtn't to bet with friends and Trivia players are all my friends.

Pen didn't sound like a newbie. He tried pretending he was new by a subterfuge which he learned off Charlie Drake.A sort of chaps version of an ironic eyelash flutter.

Aren't we a bunch of madcaps?

Well that was the most grovelling passage I have read for some time.

I take it the bet is not acceptable to you spendius?

No, nor the round peg in the square hole...

Just remind you that a question was forgotten.

Sometimes this place lives again...

Which chapter was best in Wheen's book?

Taken broadly I could not place my finger on a best chapter. However, and it is some time since I had the book, the whole content was interesting and quite enlightening. Never believe a word you read in the papers.

Do you think we are an interesting bunch on A2K Francis?

Only you would really know, no?

What are you intellectual types discussing today?

(And Francis, I think you are more interesting than you seem to think you are! I know very little of France, although it is part of my ancestry.)

Men only have one subject to discuss Dev's women!
Anything else is balderdash.

Do you enjoy being the topic of conversation?
