Maybe it's the masks/heavy makeup - but they always seem to be hiding something evil (VERY heavy, I know and I'm quite happy to be convinced I am completely unjustified in my thinking, but it is just one of those things.

Can't say I have an emotional reaction to them at all. Having seen the Komodo dragons in situ, I respect them and keep my distance! But the cute little geckos and skinks we got in India and Hong Kong were fine, desirable even.
