Oew!What a lower middle class way of asking do we combine beer with spirits and wine.I stick to beer myself most of the time but I'm not averse to the odd snort or the slurp.I'm not really one for euphemisms. It's all plonk actually.

Yes.I like the way they say "You may now kiss the bride."A kiss being a symbolic act at the foot of the altar. It eases a father's burdens when such a magnificent edifice as The Church approves of some geezer "kissing" his lovely daughter. It sort of values ladies. And I like the envious look the priest flashes at the bridegroom as the young virgin lowers her gaze so tenderly beneath her white veil.

I don't believe in guilt. It keeps one awake at night and one needs one's sleep.

Yes. And I love to talk about it, but many on a2k might object. I suspect by your answer there that you don't?

What do you think of religion? What do you think of Christianity? (I realize it's 2 questions, but I see them as 2 separate things and I'm curious.)

I like to play Scrabble with someone who wants to play Scrabble - too often though one finds an opponent who simply wants to win! As soon as I realise that is happening I lose interest in the game.

Of course I like the UK it is my home and place of infant birth and nurture. Nature itself has a tendency to instil a sacred and probably indissoluble feeling to ones country of origin.

Yes Ireland is indeed a beautiful country, it is many years since I visited but memories hold well.

I can understand your frustration at the crowds coming from the wilderness, totally understandable.

Yes, Dublin and all over and don't get me wrong - my father is British and I do love it there... where I was staying was not so great.

I understand from many Brits that they have never visited Ireland; how is it then that you have been?

Many of us are not as stick-in-the-mud as our fellows, though unlike those from the ex-colonies, we do not as a rule travel widely through Europe when unleashed upon an unsuspecting world. Ireland is wonderful, though wet, but then so is Vancouver. Moreover, writers and artists are not required to pay tax in Ireland. Very Happy

Have you travelled in the Southern Hemisphere?
