Love to travel, Mathos. Haven't been to anywhere near as many places as I'd like to go.

Where have you travelled?

I've been up hill and down dale.On the wide open spaces and in the narrow lanes.I've traversed oceans and mountain ranges. There's nothing in any of it compared to travelling with certain authors along the circuitous byways of their beautiful sound paterns and light shows. Those are for me the trips of a lifetime.

Have you never read a book that threw you up among the stars?

Hmm. I love to read. I must say that I have.

What book does it for you?

Dozens.Hundreds maybe.I'm easily led.If you took me to the water and said "Drink!" I'd drink.

If I was to pick a couple out why not Tropic of Cancer and Salammbo and My Lives and Loves by the inimitable Frank Harris and Lucien Lewen. But they are just well known ones. There are lots of unknown books.A famous literary man said once that he chose the next book to read by going in a second hand bookshop, closing his eyes, and picking one.Whatever it was.He knew you see that what ever it was had got past a publisher putting his money where his mouth is.

You can change your whole life for carfare in second hand bookshops.I love bargains.

Don't you just love second hand bookshops.?

Yes, I do. Sometimes second hand 'anything' shops are fun.

Do you work for a living or are you just independently wealthy?
(I'm curious as to what you do - as in a job or career.)

I don't work, but my family owns a wireless networking company and I kind of help them running it. But not getting any money. I go to college, study economics, that's what I do. I still get money every month. Not that much, but I don't have a problem with that since I don't spend that much of money (I live with my parents.) And I'm okay with it, in fact, I don't want to move out at all!

Are you pleased with your life?

Yes, actually. I'm content pretty much where- or when-ever I am. Life is too short not to be, no? There are things I'd like to do, even look forward to doing though.

"What do you want to be when you grow up?" is a question I ask, when I want to know what you'd like to do out of college. Made any decisions?

(Wireless network company, huh? Sounds interesting. My hubby is a former 'geek' if you will. He was LAN administrator. Do you have a title or a position with the company - or maybe I'm asking what exactly you do in helping to run the company?)

I see it a bit like my heroes. My role is to stay upright as long as I can.

I hate shops that sell new stuff. You have to decide. It seems so narcissistic to me.Going through a menu frightens me.I would much sooner a dinner lady with dimples slapped the dish of the day onto my plate with a wink.

What the literary man went on to say was that after he had picked out a book blindfold he then opened it at random and read a few lines. If these were unsatisfactory he would put it back and go again.Something to do with tone.

I have a tendency to go on title and jacket design.
That's how I found Ayesha and that whole world of Sir Henry Rider Haggard and She who must be obeyed. But you can't expect diamond mines to look like Woolworth's.If they did diamonds would be as cheap as talk time on cell phones.

That reminds me of a song.

"Diamonds in my hand, diamonds in my hand, right here,
Take them babe, they're yours to keep,
Broken pots in ancient tombs spill them out
And angels reappear."

Do you like diaries and letters?

Love to read them. "Diary of Anne Frank"... Lots of old writings, and yet I'm terrible at it myself. I don't journal and I can't make up a story to save my life! I admire those who do though.

You write, don't you?

Sure I do.So do you. There's nothing I underestimate that hasn't been written with an audience of millions in mind. There's no truth in any of that.
Sometimes,at second book fairs, there's a stall with old postcards.I often used to read a few.I never bought any mind you.Books are bad enough.

Have you ever spent half an hour reading old postcards from the boys in the trenches in 1915.?

My brother is a LAN administrator! And unfortunately no I don't have a title or a position with the company. I just do simple work, but important. Answering Emails, communicate with the other companies, check the latest news, talk with the designers, trying the products and tell them what I think...etc. Very Happy In fact, you just gave me a thought! I shall call my brother tomorrow and ask him for a title. Like "The girl we couldn't survive without." or whatever... Lol.

Drowning in the middle of the sea. Or getting killed. Hmm... dying.

What is the worst thing you've ever done?

My, what a question. I'd really have to think about that. I can only recall naughty stuff as a kid. I pulled a girl's long hair once because, I suppose, I was jealous, but the worst thing? Hmmm.

You ask good questions so I'll turn that one around on you again, okay?

Lol. That was really bad Dev you should be in prison now!! Laughing

The worst thing I ever did was, when I was in high school I told a girl whom I hate very much that she was the ugliest, rudest person I've ever met. Then I saw her crying for three days and she has failed in two or three tests. Oh god I feel bad. But it was kind of her problem, she was too sensitive!

Have you ever taken a peek at someone else's diary?

I'm sure I have! I like to read journals like "Diary of Anne Frank"... I might have peaked into my little sister's once though.

Are you into some illicit criminal activity that asking these questions is easing your conscience?! Laughing

Hmm. What are you up to today?
(I may have to take a nap - I hope. I have crazy insomnia and a summer cold. Crying or Very sad )

Just come back from the beach (too cold to swim - for me) with youngest son and 2 delightful half-Indian cousins; the young swam. There were lots of pretty pebbles to look at and we talked of myth and psychology and art. Now we're going to a charming country pub with them and my 89-yr-young mother-in-law for an evening meal. Perfect!
