We English will have to sit this one out because the question has been addressed to our American friends.

Would one of you do the decent thing?

You think he's share it with you?

No.She wasn't in.Can you believe that?Another teaser.It was good though.I had an amazing insight.
Why do women expose more of their flesh in pubs on a Friday night.I must have seen acres-well 200 sq ft at least-of naked female flesh tonight and only about 50 sq ft of naked male flesh and considering that the pub had a lot less females than males that is quite a discrepancy.

As a woman, and I realise this question is not really fair to male threaders but due to the importance of it they may forgive me for cutting them out of the game, could you explain this strange seemingly sexist situation?

Who? Moi? No I cannot, as I don't go to pubs and never
advertised in that manner. However, I only can imagine,
that these women perhaps would like to have a date for the
weekend, or even more....

I have an older brother, and in his wild days he used to go into pubs on Mondays to scam for the desperate ones that were left over from the weekend.

Pub scene is a different world. Did you find another
fleshy one to talk to then?

No.I don't encourage them. That one last night was just full of herself. We thought on uppers.

Don't get me wrong Cal.I was giggling all the time about the mental states these women must have been persuaded to think men are in.Possibly by a few hundred con artists in the fashion industry with a little help from various types of publicity charmers.

Is that possible?

Probably, or they don't have a mirror at home. Perhaps
they think, men would enjoy the exposed view.

Don't you?

Well yes.I enjoy it for amusements sake.It makes me laugh how stupid they must think men are.

I much prefer discreeter ladies who look like they might be a dormant volcano.Like in Renoir and that Lautrec guy.Ones who have the eyes.Rubens as well.
When he was focussed I mean.

Mystery is best don't you think?

*I must to the charp pit.Take your time. How about a long post from CJ.

A long post about mystery? Yes indeed, a certain
amount of mystery is interesting and exciting, but when things become too mysterious, I'll shy away from.
Women probably have a different take on this as men
do. Your fantasies are always very complicated and
filled with suspense, whereas once reality hits, it becomes quite simple. Women have a more direct approach and become more mysterious as time goes by. This of course is generalized and my subjective observation.

What's yours?

(I couldn't find charp pit - even though I have an Oxford
dictionary).

Good morning Calamity Jane,
Could it be by 'charp pit' , he was saying "I have to get back to the salt mines" (meaning busy with his work)?

[charp pit- term for place where they mine gravel for the roads.]

A "charp pit" is,or maybe was,a miltary expression for bed.Charping is sleeping and bed is the pit.EM called it the "rack" which is quite good.A sleeping person has a sort of similarity with the clothes on the racks in the shops.A redundancy situation sort of.

With that straightened out is it alright if I take a little time to think about the question last posed,"What's yours?" ?

"Moine's a point an' oi'l be a tankin' yer 'onour fo de generosity an' de unnerstandin' o' a man wiv a ragin' turst."

What's yours?

I'll just have the usual Ma'am if that's alright.

What's yours?

(It's one way of thinking.)

Right.CJ's question-"What's yours?"

I'll come to that.

That isn't a long post for a start.
And here's the spectrum again-"a certain amount of mystery is interesting and exciting"-(presumably good things). What is "a certain amount"?

And what happens when the fantasy and the reality are identical. Not out of reach of each other. As they are for the men,I can't speak for women, who wrote all the best books. Then there is no fantasy. And it is simple.Mailer said something about fantasy being only a step ahead of reality. He meant a short step.Where the mystery is.
So you are right to say that "women become more mysterious as time goes on" although the quality of the time would matter.

Also I would expect no more than a generalised and subjective observation from any lady.EVER!!

My take is that it is what you make it.

Don't you think so?

Isn't it always that way? *blank* (put in the word of your
choice) is what you make of it. For me, I'd say "Life is
what you make of it. Nonetheless, this is a question
and answer game, and not intended for philosophical
exchanges. Although the topic of "mystery" is interesting,
we're all at different stages in our lifes, and I have
to say, where I am standing in my life, mystery has a
back seat.

And yes, most of use will give generalized statements,
this is a public forum after all, and not a private living room.

Anything else I need to cover?

No, it is not wise ollady. We are all adults and can perfectly
use our mind and think for ourselves.
The answers might be not in the same manner, others
intended to receive, but such is interesting too.

How are you this morning my dear?

Just having my first cup of coffee. Waiting for the marine layer (fog) to disappear, before doing some sports and
jumping into the pool.

Horse races start here next week....

Any luck with betting?
